Five Howard County seniors have been named “DAR Good Citizens” by the General James Cox Chapter (Howard County) of National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Each student wrote an essay based on the prompt “Describe how the characteristics of a good citizen help to renew and strengthen the democracy achieved by the Patriots of the American Revolution.”

Each student received a Good Citizen pin, a certificate, and a check from the General James Cox chapter. Hailey Jordan was also designated “Howard County Good Citizen” and will move on for the opportunity to be Indiana’s Good Citizen.
