First Farmers Bank & Trust demonstrated its continued commitment to community involvement by supporting Samaritan Caregivers with a $3,000 donation toward the organization’s upcoming 24th Annual Chocolate Celebration, its largest annual fundraiser.
Samaritan Caregivers is a Howard County nonprofit that utilizes volunteers to provide free, nonmedical assistance to residents age 65 and older, helping them maintain independence and continue living safely in their homes.
As part of its sponsorship, First Farmers Bank & Trust partnered with local restaurant The Radish to host a table at the Chocolate Celebration. The event brings together local businesses, schools, hospitals and community organizations, each offering chocolate-themed treats while raising funds to support Samaritan Caregivers’ programs.
The annual Chocolate Celebration has become a beloved community event and a vital source of funding for the organization. Last year’s event raised more than $35,000 to support services that provide help and hope to seniors throughout Howard County.
The 24th Annual Chocolate Celebration will feature chocolate tastings, a silent basket auction, and vendor booths offering treats, gifts, and locally made goods. Admission to the event is free, and tasting tickets will be available for purchase for individual chocolate items. Doors open at 11 a.m., and attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the best selection.
First Farmers Bank & Trust plans to continue supporting and participating in future Samaritan Caregivers fundraising efforts as part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening the communities it serves.
