Community First Bank of Indiana (CFB) is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Dixon Road branch, recognizing two decades of growth, community partnership, and customer relationships that have helped shape the bank’s story.

Just three years after Community First Bank was founded in 2003, the bank expanded with the opening of its Dixon Road location in Kokomo. As a full-service branch featuring drive-thru banking and a dedicated team focused on serving local families and businesses, the branch quickly became an important part of the community and a cornerstone of the bank’s continued growth.

Today, Dixon Road remains one of the bank’s busiest locations, serving approximately 1,100 customers each week while also playing a key role in employee development.

Many of CFB’s frontline team members begin their careers at Dixon Road, gaining experience and training before bringing their expertise to branches throughout the organization. The success of the Dixon Road branch helped pave the way for additional growth across the organization.

In the years that followed, Community First Bank added an investment department, introduced the popular Journey Club travel program, and opened additional locations, including the Hoffer Street branch. What began as an expansion into south Kokomo became a catalyst for the bank’s continued investment in the local community.

The impact of that growth was quickly recognized by the community. Just one year after the Dixon Road branch opened, Community First Bank was named Best Bank in Kokomo by readers of the Kokomo Tribune, beginning a remarkable streak that continues today. Voted on by local residents, the award remains one of the bank’s most meaningful honors.

Community First Bank is grateful for every customer who chose to bank locally, every business that trusted the bank with its success, and every community organization that saw the bank as a partner. This anniversary is a celebration of those relationships and a heartfelt thank you to the people who have made the past 20 years possible.
