A letter to the editor from Shelby Hopkins, representing Quit Now Indiana
Everyone has their own reason for wanting to quit tobacco or nicotine. It might be spending more time with family, improving health, saving money, feeling more in control, or simply being ready for a fresh start.
This year, Quit Now Indiana is celebrating 20 years of supporting Hoosiers through their quit journeys. Its anniversary campaign, “20 Reasons. One Next Step,” reminds us that there is no single reason or perfect time to begin. What matters is finding the reason that matters to you and taking the next step when you are ready.
Quitting can take more than one attempt, and starting again is part of the journey. Quit Now Indiana provides free, nonjudgmental support and personalized assistance to help Hoosiers develop a quit plan that fits their needs.
In recognition of its 20th anniversary, Quit Now Indiana is also offering expanded medication support for eight weeks to eligible Hoosiers for a limited time, while supplies last.
Whether this is your first attempt, a fresh start, or another try, you do not have to do it alone.
Howard County residents who are ready to take their next step can call 1-800-QUIT-NOW or visit QuitNowIndiana.com to learn more about free quit support.
What’s your reason?
