The Kokomo Lantern no longer will cover events taking place at Kokomo Schools that would require a media credential. She details the demands made by Kokomo Schools that media surrender all rights to their intellectual property in exchange for access.

We do not consent and will not comply with Kokomo Schools' demands. We apologize to all of the families involved with the school system who will be impacted by this decision, but we cannot abide any attempt to control the media through a policy such as this.
