Rita Ann (Nelson) Dillman

Rita Ann (Nelson) Dillman “Nanny” went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 7, 2023, at the age of 81. Rita was surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her home.

Rita was born October 26, 1942, in Logansport, IN to the late Franklin D. Nelson and Doris E. (Martin) Nelson. She was the oldest of three children, who are surviving: brother, Don Nelson (Judy) and sister, Diane (Gary) Gerlach. Rita graduated from Young America High School in 1960.

Surviving is her husband, Ned Dillman; daughters, Chris Klafka (Jeff) and Beth Burgett (Jamey); Grandchildren, Samantha (Klafka) Rasmussen (Davyan), Ian Klafka (Kadee), Ali McCorkle (Scott), Kirsten Randall (Brandon), Gabbi Randall (Tyler); Great-grandchildren, Layne and Mackenzie McCorkle, Parker and Bailee Klafka.

She was preceded in death by their parents, Franklin and Doris Nelson.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1608 Kirk Row Kokomo, IN 46902. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W Lincoln Rd. Kokomo, IN. Barbara J. Daningburg

Barbara J. Daningburg passed into the presence of the Lord on November 7, 2023.

A native of Upstate New York, Barbara also lived in North Carolina and Indiana. She was involved in her local churches, Marriage Encounter, and Girl Scouts. Barbara was a woman of many creative talents. She played piano beautifully, worked in pastels and wood burning, enjoyed sewing clothes for herself and others, decorated intricate cakes for special occasions, and learned to use sign language. Her love of beauty and her photography skills can be seen in her children and grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her children, Sharon Watson of Indiana, Lorraine Redman of Indiana, Susan Carl of New York, and Mark Daningburg of North Carolina; brother, Donald Keagle of Alabama; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one niece; and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Thelma; her husband, Norris; and son, Philip.

A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Gary Hoover officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2 pm until the start of the service on Monday at the funeral home.



Deborah "Debbie" Joan Ogden

Deborah "Debbie" Joan Ogden, age 67, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Community Howard Regional Hospital. She was born on February 17, 1956 in Muncie, Indiana to the late William Monroe and Joann (Sites) Monroe, and she survives. Debbie married Robert Ogden on May 5, 2007 in Gatlinburg, TN, and he survives.

Debbie graduated from Taylor High School in 1972. She retired from General Motors in 2009. She was a member of the UAW #292. Debbie enjoyed shopping and traveling. She loved traveling with her husband to Gatlinburg and Las Vegas. Above all, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her loving husband, Robert; five children, Jackie, Jeremy, Pamela, Tonya, and Kenny; grandchildren, Austyn, Will, Ethan, Brittany, Austin, Paige, Hannah, Hillary, Chastity, and Joselyn; great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Dax, Mason, and Maverick; mother, Joann Monroe; and brother, Lee Monroe.

Preceding in death is her father, William Monroe; and sister, Cheryl Weir.

There will be a time of visitation for Debbie on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Rev. Wayne Janner will be officiating. Burial will follow to Albright Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Debbie's memory to the American Cancer Society, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home. Martene Joan (Porter) Byers

Martene Joan (Porter) Byers, age 89, of Lafayette, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. She was born May 2, 1934 in Kokomo to Gerald Omer and May Aline "Ileene" Porter. She married her husband of 64 years, Charles "Chuck" Byers, of Kokomo, on January 21, 1949. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2013.

Martene retired from McGill Manufacturing in Monticello. Her and her husband resided between Lake Shaffer and Kokomo and enjoyed years buying and selling antiques and collectibles. Martene was a member of Courtland Avenue Church of Christ of Kokomo. She became an avid Forever Trumper and never missed a chance to cheer for her "Donny".

She is survived by two sons, Charles "Chip" (Anabelle) Byers Jr., of Texas, and Bryan (Dawn) Byers, of Kokomo; daughter, Betsy (Mark) Jansma, of Lafayette, with whom she made her home surrounded by family; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; sister, Janet (John) Fenn; and brother, Gerald (Phyllis) Porter.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles; and two children, Kevin and Teresa Byers.

There will be a time of visitation for Martene on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, In 46902. Pastor Kevin Kay will be officiating. Private burial will follow to Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Martene to St. Jude Children's Hospital, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home. Bobby "Bob" Joe Hale

Bobby "Bob" Joe Hale, age 88, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

A public visitation for Bob will be held Monday, November 20, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.

Jeffrey Allen Crull

Jeffrey Allen Crull, age 71, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. He was born October 26, 1952 to Bobby Gene and Mattie Lou (Boruff) Crull. He graduated from Kokomo High School and later Ivy Tech with an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for the Chrysler corporation, retiring from there as a production worker and member of the UAW. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially around the holidays. Christmas was his favorite holiday because Jeff was a giver. He will be remembered for his generosity and caring nature.

He is survived by his brother, Kevin (Tammy) Crull; nephews, Michael and Matthew Crull; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Gene and Mattie Lou.

There will be a celebration of life held on a future date to be determined.
