James Ralph Morrison

James Ralph Morrison, 35, Kokomo, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at his home. He was born in Hicksville, OH on April 23, 1989, to Jeffrey Lynn and Laura Jean (Carter) Morrison.

James graduated from DeKalb High School in 2008. He served his country in the United States Army. For the last three years he worked for Indiana Packers as a forklift driver. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Poker, working out, and watching Ancient Aliens. He adored his son and animals, especially dogs.

James is survived by his father, Jeff; son, Aiden Morrison; siblings, Heather (Jason) Stoner, Rebecca (Corbet) Peters, and Trisha Carter; girlfriend and mother of his son, Alyssa Croxford; aunt and uncle; Terry & Lisa Carter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura.

A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2024, Church of Christ at Grissom, 1461 N. Matador St. Peru, IN. 46970, with Minister Terry Carter officiating. Military honors to be provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Susan "Susie" Jane Burns

Susan "Susie" Jane Burns, age 78, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 12:31 AM at Community Howard Regional Hospital. She was born January 4, 1946, in Frankfort, Indiana, to the late Norman and Mary (Conaway) Burns.

Susie retired from Community Howard Regional Hospital after 43 years of employment. She enjoyed quilting and she belonged to the local sewing guilds. They would make quilted items to donate to non-profit organizations. Susie also loved attending sewing retreats and going to quilt shops. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her son, Robert (Marilyn) Burns; daughter-in-law, Angie Burns; grandchildren, Shannon (Jeremy) Irmeger and James Rodenbarger; great-grandchildren, Ivy and Von Irmeger; nephews, Steve (Debbie) Kincaid; and great nephews, Matt Kincaid and Nick (Raegen) Kincaid.

Preceded in death is her parents; son, William "Bill" Burns; and sister, Judy Kincaid.

There will be a time of visitation for Susie on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Graveside service will follow to Geetingsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Susie's memory to the Giloblastoma Foundation, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
