Alice Mae Delores Banner
Alice Mae Delores Banner, 85, of Kokomo, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, in Kokomo. She was born in Kokomo, IN, on March 4, 1939, the daughter of Clarence Edward and Martha Mae (Hoffmann) Banner.
Alice was a 1958 graduate of Kokomo High School. She was an employee of Cuneo Press for 18 years. She enjoyed walking, exercising, knitting, and crocheting. Alice loved her dogs Lady, Shady, and Ivy.
She is survived by her sister Mary Banner, brother John Banner, niece Christie Lee, and nephew John Banner II.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, sister Rita Banner, and brother William Banner.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home – Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo, with Chaplain Adam Rhinehart officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. Nancy Ann Dailey
Nancy Ann Dailey, 77, of Kokomo, passed away at 11:39 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo. She was born on December 16, 1947, in Tipton, IN, daughter of Allen O. and Margaret C. (Dane) Brown. On June 4, 1977, she married Larry G. Dailey, and he survives.
A Sharpsville High School graduate, Nancy went on to work as a pharmacy technician retiring from Kroger in Kokomo. Known as Nanny by many, she cherished being a grandma and enjoyed camping and going on mission trips. She was a member of South Creek Church, where she served on the church board and taught Sunday school.
Along with her husband Larry, she is survived by her children Gena (Jim) Sowash, Kim (Robert) Morrisett, Richard (Maria) Stout, and Jeff (Sherry) Landseadel, grandchildren Erika (Danny) Tate, Jyssika (Ken Wang) Spray, Nicholas (Ashlyn Denny) Massey, Nathan (Brittney) Massey, Zack (Danielle) Massey, Payton (Kacey) Dick, Derek (Rachel) Landseadel, Allen (Rachel Piotrowicz) Stout, Justin LaFollette, and Daniel Guevara, sisters Barbara Murphy and Bonnie (Al) Peters, and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Dawn Landseadel, siblings David (Connie) Brown, Kathy Brown, Patty (Larry) Bronson, Danny Brown, and Mike Brown, and great grandson Oliver Wang.
A funeral service will be held at South Creek Church, 5937 S. Park Road, Kokomo, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11 a.m. with pastors Aaron Perry and Joe Coffin officiating. Eloise Brown
Eloise Brown, 94, Rochester, formerly of Kokomo, passed away at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. She was born September 20, 1930, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Oscar James & Norma Mae (Hoppes) Weiker. On June 22, 1952, she married William J. “Bill” Brown, who preceded her in death on November 19, 2024.
Eloise was a 1948 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and a 1952 graduate of Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker. She worked for several years as a substitute teacher for Kokomo Center Township Schools.
She was a member of the Homemakers Club, Church Women’s Club, and served as a Sunday School teacher and Girl Scout leader. She was active in the AAUW, Psi Iota Xi Sorority, and her bridge clubs. She also enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors include her daughters Cathy B. (Randy) Griffin, Susan K. (Tim) Garner, Deborah L. (Doug) Segraves, and Rebecca L. (Steve) Mischak, son William J. (Anne) Brown, Jr., grandchildren Marley (Michael) Fagg, Joe (Tabatha) Griffin, Mason (Emily) Griffin, Cora (Caleb) Grounds, David (Mariah) Conner, Drew (Cassy) Conner, Jordan (Lucie) Garner, Lindsey (Mike) Carnicella, Kimberly (Jay) Black, Bethany (Jesse) Dority, Nicole Mischak, Grace Mischak, Molly Brown, and Harry Brown, and 25 great-grandchildren.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 72 years, sisters Joan Houser and Adda Jane Wiegman, brother Oscar James Weiker, Jr., and great-grandchild Peyton Dority.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. Saturday until noon at the funeral home. Clela Patrice Cunningham
Clela Patrice Cunningham, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Kokomo, Indiana. Born on September 6, 1959, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Alvin D. Cunningham and Patricia R. Cunningham, Clela's life was a testament to the power of warmth and friendliness that she generously extended to everyone she met.
Clela grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She was a cherished sister to Dean P. (Kathy) Cunningham, Michael S. (Barb) Cunningham, Theodore D. (Sherry) Cunningham, Timothy R. (Linda) Cunningham, Keith E. (Mimi) Cunningham, and Brian C. Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Kevin A. Cunningham, whose memories remained dear to her heart.
A proud graduate of Crown Point High School in Crown Point, Indiana, Clela's thirst for knowledge led her to further her education by attending college classes at both Indiana University and Purdue University.
Clela's journey through life was shared with her beloved sons, Steven Cox of Mishawaka and David Cox of Lafayette, as well as her many nieces and nephews, who will continue to honor her legacy through the values she instilled in them.
Clela was a Girl Scout as a young girl, but even after her scouting days were over, she still remained interested and involved in the activities and supported them through the yearly cookie sales. She found interests in yarn and needle crafting and enjoyed putting her mind to work through puzzles.
Throughout her life, Clela faced health challenges with courage and dignity. Despite battling kidney and heart disease, she remained a source of strength and inspiration to those around her. Her resilience in the face of adversity was a true reflection of her indomitable spirit.
It was her wish to be cremated and laid to rest in the Coman Cemetery in Yankee Springs Township, Middleville, Michigan — near Barlow Lake, a serene place that held a special significance for her.
As we bid farewell to Clela Patrice Cunningham, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that gave so much to so many. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories of her family and friends, and her legacy of love will endure through the lives she touched. Clela's life was a remarkable journey of joy, compassion, and unwavering positivity. Her memory will be treasured, her life celebrated, and her love will remain a guiding force for generations to come.

James William Bess
James William Bess, 77, Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at his home. He was born to the late William and Ruth (Obermeyer) Bess, on July 23, 1947.
James graduated from Kokomo High School in 1965. He earned a Bachelor of Education from Ball State University in 1969. He was a Health and Physical Ed teacher for 30 years before he retired, working for Kokomo Center Schools. He coached basketball and was a driving instructor. He was a member of the YMCA where he enjoyed working out with a tight knit of friends. James attended Crossroads Community Church and enjoyed watching Purdue sports and the Indianapolis Colts.
James is survived by his children Jim (Jessica) Bess and Stephanie (Kenny) King, grandchildren Riley Ann Bess, Bailey King, and Colby King, and sister Lisa (Dave) Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
