McKenzie “Kenzie,” “Kenz,” Vibbert Price

McKenzie “Kenzie,” “Kenz,” Vibbert Price, 32, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep, on April 4, 2025. Born on November 4, 1992, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Brandon Troy Vibbert and Lindsey Rene (Hatten) Fouch. She married Heath Garrett Price on June 23, 2020, and he survives.

People were Kenzie’s purpose, and she figured that out at an early age. She was an outgoing, loving, and nurturing person who never met a stranger. To know McKenzie was to be enamored with her. She had the gift of making everyone feel special, like they had known her forever, and she was motherly to everyone. She was considered a best friend by many.

Kenz was well-versed in all topics from music to plants to current world views. She loved pop culture, and followed musicians like The Dave Matthews Band, Bon Iver, Dermot Kennedy, and Taylor Swift religiously. She spent her summers with her husband, her children, and her friends, drifting from concert venue to concert venue, often traveling great distances for the shows that lit her up. If she couldn’t be at the show with you, she expected its entirety to be streamed on Facebook Live. She loved coffee, nature, fashion, self-expression, aesthetics, trying new places, and influencing others through social media and the many social matters and causes she stood behind. Kenz was a talented photographer, having owned and operated Alivia Knox Photography, which she lovingly named after her two precious children.

McKenzie molded a joyful life for herself, though it wasn’t always without adversity. She had a firsthand understanding of the trauma life can bring and was dedicated to turning her life’s challenges into something beautiful for herself and helping others to do the same. Over the last five years, Kenzie was blossoming into a powerful voice for and servant of people. She worked diligently to complete both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees early and was very excited to graduate from Indiana University’s School of Social Work with her MSW in May 2025. She looked forward to a career using revolutionary treatments to help people overcome issues like depression, addiction, and suicide.

McKenzie leaves behind her beloved children who were the beat of her heart Kaydence Alivia Vibbert and Knox Matthew Adams, her husband of five years Heath Price, her mother Lindsey Fouch, her sisters Emily (Taylor) Sutherland and Natalie Sutherland, grandparents Kathleen “Kay” and Estal Vibbert, Kevin and Cindy Hatten, and Dave and Angie Bline, her in-laws Gary Adams and family, and Ron, Mandy, Wade, and Amanda Price, several nieces and nephews, several lifelong friends, and their children.

She was preceded in death by her father Brandon Troy Vibbert and the father of her children Matthew James Adams.

A celebration of McKenzie’s life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Eller’s Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Friends may call on Saturday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a fund created to support the lives of Kaydence and Knox via Ellers Mortuary.

Telina Marie (Henady) Helvey

Telina Marie (Henady) Helvey, age 48, of Windfall, passed away on April 9, 2025, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Watseka, Illinois, on February 2, 1977, to her parents, Jeffrey Henady and Deborah (Ropp) Korba. Telina married her soulmate Brandan Helvey on May 16, 1998, in Lafayette. They shared 26 years of marriage, two amazing sons, and a lifetime of memories.

Telina graduated from South Newton Jr. Sr. High School, class of 1995. After high school, she attended Indiana Wesleyan, earning a BA in Business Administration and an MS in Accounting. Through the years she worked for Allied Solutions and Ascension Health. In 2021, Telina and Brandan purchased the Windmill Tavern in Windfall. She took great pride in her business, making it a welcoming environment for all who passed through the door!

Telina loved flowers and plants. She always had the most beautiful landscaping and enjoyed all the time and effort it took to make everything look just right. She loved all animals; they held a soft spot in her heart. She could often be found birdwatching or taking her dog, Shadow, for a drive. No matter what she was doing, she was always on the lookout for a way to help an animal in need.

Telina had the most caring heart. She showed everyone around her empathy. She was completely selfless, always putting others' needs before her own, and she did so without a second thought. Telina showed her children how to be selfless through acts of kindness to others. She was the type of woman to give of herself, even if it was her last dollar. If she saw a homeless person, especially someone who had a dog with them, she didn’t show judgment. Instead, she would purchase them food and take it to them, making sure they had enough to last for a while.

If you knew Telina at all, you know she always wore a smile! She was the life of the party and would light up a room with her positive vibes. She was a prankster and loved to jump scare others. Telina was strong-willed and determined; she never shied away from hard work. If she had a theme song it was “Break my Stride,” because no one was going to break her stride or slow her down! Life was in the details for Telina. She was very detail oriented, always giving special attention to the small things.

Telina may be best known for her philanthropist spirit. Her giving heart made it easy to think of others. She was a huge supporter of her community. She gave freely to many local organizations as well as families in need. She often created events to raise money to help the Humane Society of Tipton County, local food drives, families with sick children, and many more countless causes.

Telina was an amazing wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She earned a new title just a short time ago that she was incredibly proud of: Grandma. Their time together was short, but you can bet Telina left her mark on her sweet granddaughter. She was such a blessing to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Those left to carry on Telina’s legacy of love are her husband Brandan Helvey, sons Gavin Helvey and Dylan (Shiane) Helvey, granddaughter Taelynn Helvey, parents Jeff (Karen) Henady and Debbie Korba, siblings Holly (Patrick) Donahoe, Brent Henady, Danielle (Tim) Gaddis, Maria (Scott) Nelson, Jacob (Jessie) Eckman, and Joseph (Marcia) Eckman, grandparents Phyllis & Ray Henady, several nieces and nephews, and her dearly loved dog Shadow.

Telina was welcomed into Heaven by her stepdad Jerome Korba and her aunt Brenda Woodruff.

A service celebrating Telina’s life will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main St. in Tipton, with Mark Knapp officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial donations in Telina’s honor can be made to the Humane Society of Tipton County. Envelopes will be available during the visitation.
