Charlie “Chuck” J. Bowman
Charlie “Chuck” J. Bowman, 41, Sharpsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, following a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Peru, IN, on December 24, 1983, to Charles Krisher and Nileta Bowman. On July 16, 2004, in Tipton, he married Jamie Rae Beckom, and she survives.
Chuck attended Maconaquah High School class of 2002. He worked for Elevation Excavation for many years before joining IBEW 873. He was currently working through the 153 of South Bend. He loved his family deeply, riding motorcycles, and he loved cars. He was a smartass who enjoyed joking around with people. As a child he performed in the Peru Circus. He played baseball and loved volleyball.
Along with his wife Jamie Bowman, Chuck is survived by his children Alexander (Destinea) Beckom, Aidden Bowman-Beckom, Azia Bowman, Ayva Bowman, Arlyn Bowman, and Ayler Bowman, mother Nileta Bowman, brother Jay (Brandi) Bowman, grandson Carter Bowman-Beckom, in-laws Jan and Gyla Beckom, seven nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Janelle (Brandon) Renbarger and Jana Beckom, grandfather-in-law Donald Beckom, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Krisher, niece Harlow Beckom, and grandparents Annabell Bowman, Elton Bowman Sr., and Yvonne “Grandma Tractor.”
A funeral service celebrating Chuck’s life will take place at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, with viewing from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Terry Sitzes officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the funeral home. Manpreet Singh
Manpreet Singh, 33, of Kokomo, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on November 26, 1991, in Punjab, India, son of Kulwinder Singh and Satwant Kaur. On June 27, 2018, he married Melissa Duncan in Kokomo, and she survives.
Manpreet received a bachelor's degree in computer science in Punjab, India. He owned and operated Zaika Indian Cuisine in Kokomo. Manpreet loved to spend time with his children and traveling to Chicago and New York City. He enjoyed going to the beach and getting together with family and friends. Manpreet was a chef and enjoyed trying new recipes, especially different kinds of Indian cuisine.
Along with his wife Melissa, he is survived by his children Harmanpreet “Pari” Kaur, Mason Lee Singh, Zayden Preet Singh, and Ellianna Saanvi Singh, parents Kulwinder Singh and Satwant Kaur, and former wife and mother of Harmanpreet, Ramandeep Kaur.
A prayer service celebrating Manpreet’s life will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Following the service in Kokomo there will be a Prayer Service at Gurudwara Sahib (Sikh Satsang of Indianapolis) Temple, 10950 Southeastern Ave., Indianapolis, IN. 46239. Gary Wayne Stewart
Gary Wayne Stewart, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went home to be with Lord and Savior on Good Friday, April 18, 2025. He was born on March 20, 1951, in Tipton to Charles Otis & Mary Elizabeth (Samuels) Stewart.
He was a 1969 graduate of Tipton High School. He continued his education at Purdue University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. He was an active member of the Kappa Psi fraternity during his time at university. Gary spent most of his career at CVS Pharmacy in Frankfort before retiring in 2017. His commitment to his customers and employees was unwavering, even during the time the store was held up at gunpoint!
Gary’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was baptized at Hills Baptist Church when he was nine years old and continued to be an active member of the church, holding many offices, including Deacon, Trustee, and Sunday School Teacher.
On November 9, 1974, he married Beverly Jean McFarland at Hills Baptist Church. This was the beginning of a lifelong relationship that was blessed with two children Andrew “A.J.” Stewart and wife Sondra of Sharpsville and Courtney Fredenburg and husband Travis of Middletown. He was a fantastic Paps to Lillian Stewart, Isabella Stewart, Drew Fredenburg, and Alex Fredenburg. Gary enjoyed attending their sporting events, piano recitals, and 4-H contests. He loved taking family vacations, His favorites were Disney, Cancun, St. Louis, and Gatlinburg.
Gary is also survived by his siblings Connie Campbell of Tipton, Dennis Stewart and wife Beth A. of Kempton, Brian Stewart and wife Beth E. of Tipton, and one sister-in-law Nancy Stewart.
He was preceded on death by his son Andrew Justin “A.J.” Stewart, two infant identical twins, a brother Ted Stewart, and a brother-in-law Dwight Campbell.
Gary was a member of the Indiana Pharmaceutical Association and the John Purdue Club. He always enjoyed cheering on Purdue, the Colts, Pacers, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Gary was also a huge Roy Rogers and Dale Evans fan. Happy trails ‘til we meet again!
Gary’s graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, at Normanda Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Herin presiding. Gary’s family would like to encourage everyone attending the service to wear something Purdue or Disney attire.
