William “Bill” Joseph Marschke, Sr.
William “Bill” Joseph Marschke, Sr., 79, of Elwood, died Thursday morning, May 22, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood. Bill was born on October 24, 1945, to Albert and Helen (Russell) Marschke. He had the privilege of growing up with his loving parents Ralph and Helen Forst.
Bill was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and a 1964 graduate of Tipton High School. He was a very hard worker. Early on, he worked on the railroad. He later worked as a mail delivery person and eventually transitioned to being an over-the-road truck driver, eventually working for Weismiller Trucking. He had a great love of collecting guns and knives. He certainly was known to be a joker, keeping his friends on guard for a prank. He received the nickname of “Tater and Batman” from those that were close to him. Bill also enjoyed watching Western movies and building model cars.
Survivors include his children Kelly Hamilton and husband Brent of Tipton, Kim TenBrook of Bristol, Indiana, and William “Joe” Marschke, Jr. of Constantine, Michigan. His sisters include Teresa Kendall and husband Kent of Goshen, Marsha Marschke also of Goshen, and Martina. His grandchildren are Jamie, Trevor, Tyler, Jessica, Lexi, Michael, Derrek, and Chelsea. Great-grandchildren are Aiden, Oceana, Lillian, Keegan, and Khloe. Bill was blessed to have two great-great grandchildren Blake and Brynleigh.
Bill was preceded in death by his ex-wife Sharon, a grandson Zachary TenBrook, and a daughter-in-law Sandra Marschke.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 27, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Goth presiding. Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until service time.

Misty Corey
Misty Corey, age 54, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Hospital. She was born on January 15, 1971, in Kokomo, to Kerry and Theresa (Hayes) Name.
Misty was a very caring and loving person who loved her children very much. She was a "jokester" and enjoyed teasing her family as that is how she showed her love. Misty was an animal lover and taught Sunday School at her church. She was a member of the Jesus Apostolic Faith Church in Galveston.
She is survived by three sons Jeremiah (Kendall) Corey, Jacob Corey, and Brandon Corey, her parents, siblings Kerry (Elizabeth) Name Jr, Mickey (Victoria) Name, and Crystal (Andre) Miller, two aunts Laveena (Mickey) Name and Leota (Cliff) Duke, Vernon Corey, lifelong partner, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation for Misty on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM, at Jesus Apostolic Faith Church, 408 East Jackson Street, Galveston, Indiana. Sister Vickie Jackson will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Misty to Jesus Apostolic Faith Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be provided at the church.
Larry Nolan Hill
Larry Nolan Hill, 79, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away in his home on Thursday, May 22, 2025. He was born July 22, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to the late George and Emma Hill.
Larry loved spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or his favorite pastime, golfing. He was huge fan of Notre Dame even though his wife Nancy was rooting for the opposing team. He attended numerous baseball games with his family. He took advantage of spending as much time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as he could. He was a family man. He taught his daughters that if you want something done, then you learn how to do it yourself. He had a wealth of knowledge when it came to electrical work that was self-taught for the most part. Larry worked at Delco Electronics until his retirement in September of 1991. He was a member of the Local UAW 292 and a previous member of the Elwood Elks along with the American Legion Post 6. Holidays were his favorite; he loved getting his family together for Thanksgiving and Christmas. He kept his TV on the Hallmark Channel all winter long. He had a great sense of humor, always telling off-color jokes. He was witty and quick with a response.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Nancy Hill, his daughters Jackie Branch (Scott) and Michele Peña (Luis), his siblings Kenneth Hill (Diane), Theresa Tapscott (Don), and Michael "Mikey" Hill (Leslie), his grandchildren Ashley Wolf (Kim), Joey Branch (Tina), Kaile LaRue (Latiesha), Karah Sughrue (Tim), Kassy Peña (Cole Bass), LJ Peña, and Curtis "Quister" Peña, many great grandchildren, his nieces Kelly Ackerman (Chad) and Shanel Bass, his nephews Jeremiah Jaecques (Jynna) and Dean Hill (Missy), and his sister-in-law Pam Forston (Bob).
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his granddaughter Reyna Peña, his nephew Kyle Forston, and his niece Shannon Brock.
There will be a private Celebration of Life.
Steven Alan Weikle
Steven Alan Weikle, age 63, a lifetime resident of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away in his home on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. He was born July 16, 1961, to the late Robert and Faye Weikle.
Steve was the protector of the family, always offering a helping hand and keeping a level head in any situation. He was a mentor to many, especially the kids whom he coached. Steve was active in local youth sports for many years. He worked for Gerber Plumbing fixtures and then eventually went on to work for Haynes International. He worked as a manager for Haynes while also teaching business classes part-time at Ivy Tech. He was a DeMolay during his younger years, following the footsteps of his father. Steve was a wonderful father, brother, and partner. He and his fiancée Karen loved to travel together. Their favorite destination was Hawaii, where they got to experience scuba diving and helicopter rides. No matter where he went, he always made sure to check out the food.
Steve is survived by his daughters Erin (Patrick) Durr and Erica Slusser, sister Kim (Billy) Weikle-McCartney, fiancée Karen Fite, grandchildren Brooke Durr, Arwen Fewell, and Jonah Fewell, nephew Drew (Michelle) McCartney, great-niece Rosalie McCartney, and bonus daughters Molly (Rob) O'Sullivan, Emily Fite, and Aubrey Bishir.
In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his brother Gregory Weikle.
In honor of Steve's wishes there will not be a public service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to your local youth sports program.
