James Donald “Don” Richardson
James Donald “Don” Richardson, 83, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 3, 1942, in Woodbury, Tennessee, son of Thomas Frank Richardson & June Marie (Arrowsmith) Richardson Henson. On July 13, 1963, he married Pamela Jean (Martin) Richardson who preceded him in death on March 31, 2017.
Don was a graduate of Waverly High School in Waverly, TN, and Akron University in Akron, Ohio. He was a first lieutenant in the Army while he was in college. He worked as an electrical engineer at Delco Electronics. He held several patents and was a principle technical fellow and worked with computer programming. Don was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. He and Pam played Bridge and became Life Masters with the American Contract Bridge League. He was a wonderful father and an amazing mentor. Don was incredibly respectful of everyone, especially women.
He is survived by his daughter Robyn Chesser, grandchildren Christian (Molly) Chesser and Joseph Chesser, great-grandson Thomas Wade Chesser, and brother Tommy (Karen) Henson.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister Karen Henson.
A funeral service celebrating Don’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 705 Southway Blvd. E., Kokomo, with Pastors John Dryer & Carl Hingst officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery with military honors provided by the U.S. Army and the Kokomo V.F.W. Military Rites Team. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements. Marcia Eileen (Anger) Boruff
Marcia Eileen (Anger) Boruff, 72 years old, of Kokomo, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025, at her home. She was born in Big Rapids, Michigan, on December 1, 1952, the daughter of John Wiliam and Adeline Vera (Young) Anger. On October 14, 1972, she married Steven Matthew Boruff in Kokomo, IN, and he survives. They celebrated 52 years of marriage last year.
Marcia was a 1970 graduate of Western High School. She attended Ivy Tech University where she received a degree in accounting. Marcia stood at the helm as Vice President of several corporations owned by her family over the years. Marcia enjoyed traveling in her retirement in her motorhome, visiting casinos, camping with Steve and her beloved camping friends as well as her loyal dog Colo. She especially loved Ponchos Pond in Ludington, Michigan.
In addition to her husband, Marcia is survived by her sons Matthew (Shelly) Boruff and Jason (Ashlee) Boruff; siblings Julia Whitehouse, David Anger, and Douglas Anger, grandchildren Skyler (Madison) Boruff, Aubree Jo Boruff, Jordan Boruff, Amy Sue Boruff, Jaiden Boruff, Jeshua Boruff, and Wyatt Lucas, great-grandchildren Ava Boruff, Cam Boruff, Wrigley Boruff, and Brewer Boruff on the way, and loyal dog Colorado, a.k.a. Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Mike Whitehouse.
Cremation has been entrusted to Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel. Contributions may be made in Marcia’s memory to the Kokomo Humane Society.
Marilyn B. Nash
Marilyn B. Nash entered into this world on May 8, 1939, in Tipton County to Dale E. & Mary M. (Wheatley) Burget. She was 86 years old when she passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Autumnwood Village in Tipton. Marilyn married Danny B. Nash on December 1, 1999, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2016. She was a beautician and had worked at Ramsey’s and TDS Telecom, both in Tipton, retiring in 2006.
Marilyn graduated from Prairie Township High School in the Class of 1957. She was a member of Normanda Christian Church where she played the organ. In fact, Marilyn shared her musical talent with several churches and played for many funerals throughout her lifetime.
Survivors include her daughter Shari Atchley Smith, son Douglas E. Atchley and wife Sue Howard Atchley, as well as two stepdaughters Lisa N. Miller and husband Rick of Peru and Melissa Solomon and husband Steve of Dayton, Ohio.
Marilyn is also survived by five grandchildren Abbie Smith, Madison DePew and husband Josh, Walker Mehl, Erika Heaton, and Kaleigh Atchley, five step-grandchildren Colton, Cody, and Caitlyn Miller and Kellen and Kacy Solomon, seven great-grandchildren Matilda and Jack Stout, Raylee and Asher DePew, and Gracie, Lillie, and Wilson Heaton.
Marilyn was the last of her generation as her four siblings Gerald E. Burget, Don Burget, Marianna Gray, and Madonna Burget Spratt all predeceased her.
