Marcia Joan Martin

Marcia Joan Martin, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 10, 2025.

She was born February 11, 1933, to Robert and Mary Eltringham in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Marcia was married to John Davin, Sr. on February 5, 1957, until his death April 15, 1976. She married Dale Martin on October 16, 1981, until his death November 10, 2016.

She loved dancing and reading, beautiful flowers, especially gladiolas, roses, and carnations, but mostly loved spending time with family and friends. Marcia worked at Delco in Kokomo for about 15 years and retired in 1993. She then went on to work for Eaton in Michigan for 12 more years and retired in 2007.

She is survived by her children Jo Ellen (Gene) Northcutt, Bill Davin, Debby (John) Hollis, and Scott (Marcie) Davin, and her stepchildren Jeff Martin and Karla (James) Johnson. Marcia has 17 grandchildren: Melissa Sweezy, Jessica Davin, Amy (Kory) Turk, Emily (Jesse) Taylor, Kevin (Cassie) Davin, Evan Davin, Justin Davin, Chelsea (Jake) Strawmyer, Aaron Sparling, Kyle Sparling, Dustin Farrer, Brittany (Jef) Witt, Monika Bitner, Shane Bitner, Roxy Davin, Jenny (Jason) Tomlinson, Janelle Oldmixon, and Justin (Sarah) Johnson. She was blessed with 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Marcia is also survived by her brother Robert Eltringham and sister Lahoma Wyant.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mary Eltringham, husband John Davin, Sr., husband Dale Martin, son John Davin, Jr., brothers Charles Eltringham, Doug Eltringham, and Thomas Eltringham, and sisters Avanelle Eltringham, Mildred Eltringham, Janice Blackmon, Virginia Mills, Eileen Evans, and Mary Ragno.

There will be a visitation on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Burial immediately following at Crown Point Cemetery. Pastor Jesse Taylor will be officiating.



Russell “Russ” Eugene Kelly

Russell “Russ” Eugene Kelly, 97, Russiaville, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at his home. He was born November 19, 1927, in Forest, IN, the son of the late Orville and Martha (Name) Kelly. On June 19, 1955, He married Marjorie “Joan” Kelly at West Point Christian Church, who preceded him in death on May 30, 2003.

Russ was a 1935 graduate of Forest High School. He earned his Business degree from IUPUI in May of 1975. Russ served in the United States Navy and retired from Haynes International after 40 years of service. He was a member of West Point Christian Church, Chapel Hill Christian Church, Converse Radio Controlled Flying Club, and Converse Woodcarving Club as woodworking was his favorite hobby.

Russ is survived by his children Kimila (Jeff) Lowry, Phil (Joanne) Kelly, and Julie Kelly, grandchildren Chris (Christy) Lowry, David (Sarah) Lowry, and Matt (Samantha) Lowry, and great-grandchildren Lakeland, Liam, Sophia, Grady, and Jack.

In addition to his wife Joan, Russ was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Oneda Matix and Reba Kelly, and brother Wayne Kelly.

A funeral service celebrating Russ’ life will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Rod Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the start of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Kathy Lynn Roussel

Kathy Lynn Roussel, 50, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on August 7, 2025. She was born on June 23, 1975, in Tipton, Indiana, the daughter of Jimmy Perales and Vicky (Petrey) Tompkins.

Kathy enjoyed gardening, cooking, and reading her Bible. Kathy was a very caring loving person that would go out of her way to help anyone she saw with need. Kathy enjoyed doing crafts, and she often made things for her family members. Kathy was very passionate about life and loved to explore new places. Kathy was an animal lover, and throughout her years, she had dogs, cats, bunnies, and ducks. Kathy enjoyed writing poems and loved to make flower arrangements for others. Kathy was dearly loved, and she will be missed by all her family members.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Amy Gallaher (Scott) and Amber Garcia (Mike); brothers Anthony Tompkins, Allen Tompkins (Lisa), Jimmy Perales, and Christopher Perales; grandmother Edythe Johnson; aunt Donna Perales (Texas); great uncle JD Goins (Peggy); great aunt Artie Goins (Cathy); uncle Clyde Petrey (Kelly); aunt Kathy Clark; uncles David Tompkins and John Tompkins; niece Messina Paul; nephew Wyatt Tompkins; and several cousins in Kentucky, Indiana, and Texas.

Funeral services will take place at 2:00 PM Monday, August 18, 2025, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Share a memory with the family at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.



Carol L. Crist

Carol L. Crist, 65, of Galveston, formerly of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 8, 2025, at her home.

Born on January 22, 1960, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Loren and Betty (Galbreath) Markley.

She was a 1978 Winamac High School graduate. Carol married Rex Crist on May 5, 1987.

Carol was a dispatcher for Pulaski County for 20 years after working for several years at Karen’s Tracks to Beauty and Korner Shoppe Bridal. She was also formerly employed at Cardinal Services and Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Carol enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren whom she always said was her reason.

Survivors include her daughter Cara Jean Dauenhauer (Joshua) of Galveston, sisters Sue Young of Winamac and Karen Pratt of Logansport, and grandchildren DaKoda Dauenhauer, MaKayla Dauenhauer, and MaLayna Dauenhauer, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rex Crist, sister Kathy Webb, and brothers-in-law Len Young, Tim Pratt, and David Webb.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service, and the family is requesting casual dress.
