David H. "Pup" Lundy
David H. "Pup" Lundy, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, departed from this world on September 17, 2025, in Kokomo, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and countless precious memories. Born on May 16, 1961, in Evening Shade, Arkansas, Pup was a man whose warm smile and generous spirit touched everyone he met.
Pup proudly graduated from Kokomo High School and furthered his education at Ivy Tech, where he earned an Associate's degree in construction. His passion for building and fixing things led him to work at McCord's, and later he served the community as a skilled handyman for Terri "Sis" Love, a role he cherished until his health declined.
In September of 2000, Pup married his beloved wife Nancy Lundy, and together they created a home filled with laughter and love. Pup's life was marked by his devotion to his family, which included his children Aaron "Chucky" Wier, David "Sadie" Lundy, Heather Lewis, Joshua (Corrina) Lewis, Adam Frazier, and Aaron (Elizabeth) Frazier. He was a pillar of strength and support for his sisters Kathy (Gerry) Simpson and Pam Parrott, and he held a special place in his heart for his 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy.
Though Pup is preceded in death by his parents Minnie Bell Bearden and Charlie Keegan, sister Charlene Camp, brother Chuck Lundy, brother-in-law Ted Parrott, and son-in-law Joe Slusher, his spirit will continue to live on through the love and memories he shared with his family and friends.
Pup's interests and hobbies were as robust and diverse as his personality. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, always eager to work on his bikes and take them for a spin. His love for the TV show "Moonshiners" inspired him to try his hand at making his own moonshine, a testament to his adventurous spirit. Pup had a special affinity for Pitbulls, dedicating time to training and caring for them with a gentle and expert hand. Above all, Pup was a family man. He cherished family gatherings, especially cookouts, where he could be found surrounded by his children and grandchildren, sharing stories and laughter. These moments, where love was always the main ingredient, were the times he held most dear.
Described by those who knew him as loving, handy, and friendly, Pup's ability to make friends wherever he went and leave a lasting impression on those he met was unmatched. His dog, Ottis, was a constant companion, staying by his side through thick and thin. David H. "Pup" Lundy's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and the impact one person can have on the lives of many. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his legacy of kindness, resilience, and love for his family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
