Michaelyn Rae (Ford) Burns

Michaelyn Rae (Ford) Burns, age 74, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m. Michaelyn was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on August 12, 1951, to Foister and Mary Ann (Newton) Ford. She graduated from Northwestern High School, class of 1969. She worked in the bakery at Kroger for 20 years. She then worked to receive an Associate’s Degree to become a surgical technician.

Michaelyn enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, antique shopping, and reading. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Surviving to honor her memory are her daughter Johnalyn (Dani) Hillman; step-daughter Leslie (Tim) Pickering; step-sons Jason (Jody) Burns and Jeremy (Terra) Burns; grandchildren Tyler (Abigail) Burns, Taylor (Tyler) Hook, Montez Burns, Lacey Pickering, Lannon Pickering, Trevi Hillman, Brody Burns, Joshaya Burns, Burke Burns, Akeelah Hillman, Layton Pickering, and Kingston Eldridge; siblings Sandy (Mark) Davis, Cynthia Ford, and Jay (Mary Ann) Ford; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

Michaelyn was preceded in death by her parents Foister & Mary Anne Ford and her son Joshua Jay Jenkins.

A memorial visitation for Michaelyn will be held Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Community Center, Inc., 725 S. Main Street, Kokomo, IN 46901, followed by a celebration of life service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.



Larry J. Miller

Larry J. Miller, 67, of Kokomo, passed away, surrounded by family, late Tuesday evening, November 4, 2025, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 30, 1958, in Wabash, Indiana, to F. Lee and Barbara A. (Beck) Miller. He married Karen S. Klise on June 21, 1980, in Bennett’s Switch United Methodist Church, and she survives.

Larry was a welder and wireman by trade. He worked more than 45 years in the welding industry. He was a 1977 graduate of Maconaquah High School in Bunker Hill. Larry never met a stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He loved camping, spending time with his grandchildren, riding his 4-wheeler, driving his John Deere Model L and watching Purdue Basketball. Larry and Karen were members of Bible Baptist Church in Kokomo.

Surviving family include his wife Karen S. Miller of Kokomo, and his children Christopher (Catherine) Miller of Kokomo and Jennifer (Brian) Weber of Fishers. He is also survived by his father F. Lee Miller of Peru; three grandchildren Leo Miller of Sheridan, Theodore and Marceline Weber of Fishers; and his siblings Gary (Pati) Miller and Sherry Miller, both of Goshen. Larry is preceded in death by his mother Barbara.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Bible Baptist Church in Kokomo with Pastors Norm Snyder and Dan Murphy officiating. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help cover funeral expenses at www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com. Brenda Sue Washington

Brenda Sue Washington, 78, of Walton, passed away on November 5, 2025, at Chase Center in Logansport. She was born on July 29, 1947, in Kokomo to the late George and Ethel (Roark) White. Brenda married Paul Wesley Washington on July 18, 1969, in Kokomo, and he passed away on September 3, 2000.

Brenda was a homemaker. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her life. Brenda enjoyed listening to music such as Conway Twitty, who was her favorite.

She is survived by her daughters Toni (Walt) Washington and Stephanie (Deven) Abercrombie; grandchildren Courtney (Kodi) Rybolt, Trevor Bentley, Leah Rodriguez, and Sophia Abercrombie; great-grandchildren Ayden Rybolt and Karter Rybolt; sisters Gladys Dean, Shirley Bruner, Rosie McCameron, and Geneva Ailor; and longtime companion Jim Reed.

Preceding in death is her loving husband of 31 years Paul; her parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

No services will be held, at Brenda’s request.

Linda Louthen

Linda Louthen, 74, of Tipton, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born in Searcy, Arkansas, on July 7, 1951, to Orbie and Sylvia Christine (Finley) McCullough.

Linda dedicated her career to Delco/Delphi, where she worked until her retirement. Linda’s passions brought joy to those around her. An avid Indianapolis Colts fan, she rooted for the Colts every given Sunday. Her love for art was a lifelong passion.

Linda is survived by her spouse Charlie Louthen; children Mark Louthen, Mike Louthen, Amy Porter, Carolynn Louthen, Jennifer Ebert, and Austin Louthen; her grandchildren Teia, Ethan, Tonya, Allie, Conner, Tayler, Milly, Ryker, Lilly, Lucas, Greyson, David, and Michael; and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind one sister, Brenda Carol.

She was preceded in death by her parents Orbie and Sylvia McCullough, her siblings Eddie Guy, Porter Rodger, and Charlotte Ann, and one son, David Louthen.

Phillip Deangelo White

Phillip Deangelo White, 29 years old, passed away unexpectedly at 5:48 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2025. He was born in Kokomo, IN, on February 9, 1996, the son of Phillip White and Keisha White.

Phillip was the most outgoing and free-hearted man. He would give the shirt off of his back to anybody in need. He had the best sense of humor, loved to joke with people, and liked spending time with his family. He was a sports fanatic and was an outstanding basketball player. He enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and rapping.

He is survived by his mom Keisha White; dad Phil White; siblings Ashley White, Julian White, Basheba Johnson, and Desmond White; and grandparents Darlene Campbell, Carol Moody-Hill, James Hill, Phil White Jr., and Brenda White.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa Herman Beard, grandpa Terence Taylor, aunt, Ja’mea Parker, and uncle Terrell Taylor.

Reed Bolton Stoeckley

Reed Bolton Stoeckley, 56, Kokomo, passed away at 7:58 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, with his fiancé by his side. He was born on April 28, 1969, in Clarendon Hills, IL, to the late John B. Stoeckley and the late Joanne (Darby) Trobaugh. He was engaged to Stella Gries.

Reed graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 1988 and attended Arizona State University. Reed was a thriving entrepreneur. He owned the old Book Nook in Kokomo and more recently opened up Stoe’G’ley’s Social Club & Cigar Lounge to share his love of cigars with others. He also worked a variety of jobs throughout his life, including managing Kokomo’s Chuck E. Cheese, cooking meals at Community Howard Hospital and Kokomo Center School, and driving a trolley for the City of Kokomo. Reed had a passion for cuisine and enjoyed creatively cooking for others. He spent many hours dancing with his beloved fiancé and loved music of all kinds. Reed spent his summers at Tall Sycamore Campground. He had a great sense of humor and was always socializing with other campers. He cherished driving his customized Jeep through all the seasons. Reed was very artistic and loved to paint. Halloween was Reed’s favorite holiday, and he enjoyed creating group costumes with his fiancée and children.

Reed is survived by his fiancée Stella; his daughters Ashley Gries, Isabella Stoeckley, and Lily Stoeckley; siblings Kari (Mike) Hunter, Guy (Katie) Trobaugh, Ruth (Brian) Wolf, and Clark Stoeckley; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Robert “Bob” Trobaugh.
