Lori Lynn Krebes
Lori Lynn Krebes, 63, Kokomo, formerly of Merrillville, went home to meet the Lord peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, comforted by her partner, Michael Whiteman, in his home.
Lori was born in Gary and lived most of her life in Kokomo. She graduated from Andrean High School in 1980 and continued to Indiana Dental College. Her professions were being a manager at Seville Restaurant and then a waitress at Frittatas Restaurant for several decades. She thrived at her craft by bringing a smile to everyone’s face quicker than she could turn a plate.
Lori will be remembered for her kindness and fierce loyalty to her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, and eating good food, and she was a passionate Colts fan who always knew what time the game was on. Most of all, she enjoyed a good laugh surrounded by those she loved.
Lori’s favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved ornaments, taking time to decorate her tree, and (professionally) wrapping presents. Her loss leaves a big void in the lives of those she loved. Nancy says there is no one else like her – Lori made the room shine.
Lori is survived by her mother Nancy Bihlman; aunts Marilyn Watkins, Peggy (George) Weber, and Jeanie Bihlman; sister-in-law Debra Bihlman; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; stepchildren Matt Gaddy, Mira Warner, and Maja Allman; step-grandchildren Aubriee, Zayla, and Wyatt Nolan Warner, and Aurelia and Charlotte Allman; partner Michael Whiteman; furry friend Ms. Ruby-Rose; and special “besties” Debbie Triplett and Lori Mekola.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Elmer and Frieda Morrow and Lawrence and Sophia Bihlman; father Lawrence Bihlman, Jr.; brother Lawrence Bihlman III; uncle Robert Bihlman; and partner James Craig Peterson.
Special thanks to Mike and his family for caring for Lori in her final days.
A memorial service celebrating Lori’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Friends may visit the family from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
In the meantime, please raise a glass (Lori would prefer bubbles), as we toast Lori. In her honor, cherish your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you, every day. Merry Christmas, Lori. We Love you!
John Yochanan Patrick Green
John Yochanan Patrick Green, a spirited soul whose passion and wisdom touched the lives of many, embarked on his final journey on December 17, 2025, in Kokomo, Indiana. Born on February 14, 1943, in the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois, to William and Beatrice (Moses) Green, John’s life was a testament to the power of living fully and loving deeply.
A proud graduate of Dunbar High School’s class of 1961, Yochanan’s adventurous spirit led him to serve as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army, a role that exemplified his courage and commitment to excellence. His life was a canvas of experiences; each stroke painted with the vibrant colors of his artistic talent and intellectual curiosity.
Yochanan’s love for animals, birds, and dogs was more than a mere interest; it was a reflection of his innate connection to all living beings. His visits to aquariums were not just pastimes but pilgrimages to marvel at the wonders of life beneath the waves. His artistic abilities were not just a skill but a language through which he communicated the beauty he saw in the world.
A true Renaissance man, Yochanan’s intelligence was matched only by his dedication to personal growth and well-being. He embraced the practices of Tai Chi and Yoga, not merely as exercises but as philosophies that guided his every movement and breath. His commitment to fitness and holistic living was not a trend but a lifelong journey towards harmony and balance. Yochanan was a cultured man, who lived by the Laws of the Most High Father God, who loved to read his bible religiously.
Yochanan’s legacy is carried on by his loving children: James Tyrone, Angela, Yochanan, Zinah, Netzach, Abraham James, Elikahe, Ohnahm, Saderah, Avikahe, Givoonah, Ahvinel, Elinathan, Elyakom, Mosheah, Ohmehts, Avidon, Gioolah, Yehoshua, Yehoshaphat, Bahtzion, and Yitzhak Green. His spirit is also cherished by his 88 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who will continue to walk in the light of his wisdom. His siblings Asiel Ben Israel and DeLisa Doss-Early, along with several nieces and nephews, remember him fondly.
Yochanan now reunites with his beloved first wife Tivoonah, and his most recent wife Aviah, as well as his siblings Stanley Green and Valerie Doss, who preceded him in death. Their reunion is a celestial symphony of souls that have danced through life’s challenges and triumphs together.
Let us celebrate John Yochanan Patrick Green, not with sorrow but with the joy he embodied. His life was a beacon of inspiration, urging us all to live with the same fervor and intentionality he demonstrated every day. Yochanan’s story is not one of an end but a continuation, a reminder that our spirits are boundless and our capacity for love is infinite. As we honor his memory, let us carry forward the torch of his indomitable spirit, igniting the path for generations to come.
