Annette Maiden
Annette Maiden, 84, Kokomo, passed away at 6:44 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2026, at Majestic of Sheridan. She was born April 26, 1941, in Luttrell, TN, to Earl and Fern (Booker) Dukes. On August 13, 1965, she married William Maiden who survives.
Annette retired from Delco Electronics in 1998 after 33 years of service. She and her husband enjoyed their retirement wintering in Florida at Lake Rich Village, attending auctions and sales, as well as spending time with and making memories with family. She loved gardening, canning, camping, traveling, and visiting state parks, as well as collecting antiques and jewelry.
In addition to her husband, Annette is survived by her sons James “Randy” Maiden and Gregory Maiden; and grandchildren Zach Maiden, Hunter Maiden, Ella Maiden, Evie Maiden, and Logan Maiden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Jerry Dukes, Marshal Dukes, L.T. Dukes, Sandy Hattabaugh, Shirl Lewis, and Melba Offutt.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, with Pastor Jeff Haill officiating. Connie Sue Long Achenbach
Mrs. Connie Sue Long Achenbach, daughter of the late Robert Dean Long and Emma Lucille Cook Long, was born on December 5, 1943, in Kokomo, Indiana. At the age of 11 she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and surrendered her life to Him. She attended school in Miami County, Indiana, until moving to Michigan at the age of 12. She graduated from high school in Cass City, Michigan in 1962.
After graduation, she moved back to Kokomo, Indiana, and started work at Declo Radio. There she met Robert Earl Achenbach and married him on June 5, 1965. In 1967, they moved to Chicago and took night classes at Moody Bible Institute. In 1968, they moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, and attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible & Music. She graduated as a valedictorian of her 1971 class.
After graduation, Bob and Connie moved to Tennessee where they served the Lord at Cedine Ministries Bible Camp in Spring City, the Trinity Baptist church in Harriman. She loved taking care of her family and her flowers. She was surrounded by her children when she took her last earthly breath on March 24, 2026, and woke up in Glory.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” Achenbach, parents Robert & Emma Long, and brother James Long.
She is survived by two sons & daughter-in-law Jimmy & Tracey Achenbach and Jeff Achenbach, two daughters & son-in-law Debra & John Keller and Angela Achenbach, brother & sister-in-law Ron & Jennifer Long, grandchildren Hans Keller and Emma Keller, uncle Mason & Jewell Cook, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Camille (Bunger) Swisher
Camille (Bunger) Swisher, 55, passed away on March 20, 2026, at IU Methodist Hospital following a sudden illness and lung transplant. Born on March 17, 1971, in Logansport, Indiana, Camille lived a life defined by love, faith, and quiet strength.
She found joy in learning, music, flowers, and life’s simple pleasures, especially her beloved Diet Coke with ice. Camille had a gentle kindness, an adventurous spirit, and a deep devotion to her family and friends. She gave her whole heart to the people and passions she cherished, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband Tim Swisher; children Clayton Smith and Jessica (Alex) Smith; stepchildren Billy, Abby and Jess; grandchildren Madelynn, Kylo, Theo, Noah Camille, Caly, and Elijah; sister Kristine (Randy) Rhodes; and two brothers Ron (Leanne) Bunger and Bob (Marie) Bunger.
Camille’s giving spirit lives on through her selfless donation of her liver and tissues, offering hope and life to others. Her legacy is one of love, generosity, and grace.
She will be deeply missed and forever etched in the hearts and souls of all who knew and loved her.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise. Psalm 31:25-31.
Services celebrating Camille’s life will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, 112 East Main Street, Greentown, with Pastor Luke Vasicek officiating. Norman “Bud” Schroeder
Norman “Bud” Schroeder, 91, formerly of Tell City, passed away on March 21, 2026, at his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Bud was born in Cannelton, Indiana, on March 20, 1935, to the late Herman L. and Sarah Ivy (Pippin) Schroeder. He was a proud 1953 graduate of Cannelton High School. Following graduation, he honorably answered the call to serve his country in the United States Army as a member of the esteemed 82nd Airborne Division. As a Korean War veteran, he carried a deep sense of duty and patriotism that remained with him throughout his life.
Bud proudly served as a police officer with the Washington, D.C. Police Department. Among the many honors of his career, he took great pride in serving as a motorcycle escort for President John F. Kennedy during his final procession. He was a dedicated and respected officer who carried himself with professionalism and integrity throughout his career.
Outside of his work, Bud enjoyed hunting and golfing, and he cherished the camaraderie and lifelong bonds he shared growing up with his brothers.
He is survived by his son Christian Schroeder and his brother James “Jim” (Christy) Schroeder of Kokomo, Indiana.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his brothers Edgar Conner, Samuel Conner, Herman Schroeder, and William “Guy” Schroeder.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial with military rites will follow in New Cliff Cemetery in Cannelton. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until service time.

Willard “Pete” Redman
Willard “Pete” Redman passed from this world on March 22, 2026. A man known for his smile, selflessness and warmth will be missed by family and friends. He was born August 5, 1938, in Portageville, MO, to George and Jettie (Euwell) Redman. With his mother’s untimely death when he was an infant, Pete was raised by his aunt and uncle Lloyd and Lydia (Fuwell) Sauls of Qulin, MO. He became the cherished eldest brother to Jettie, Margaret, and Dan. In 1960, he met and married Barbara (Creasy) Redman in Kokomo, IN. They were married for many years and had two wonderful boys Wayne Redman and Danny Redman.
Pete worked for Teamsters Union Local #274 construction in Kokomo and retired after 41 years. In 1997, he met and fell in love with Sharon Magers, who became his best friend, partner in crime, and travel buddy. They were known for throwing the best cowboy bean suppers in the area. Together they raised their two fur babies Sophie and Katie, two very spoiled and loved Boston Terriers.
He is survived by Sharon Magers, his son Wayne; his grandchildren Christopher and Brian; daughter-in-law Candy; his great-grandchildren Kaidence, Robbie, and Haidan; siblings Margaret and Dan; and his last fur baby Lily Mae.
Pete was predeceased by his beloved son Danny and his sister Jettie.

Robert Wayne Creed
Robert Wayne Creed, 79, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed on away March 22, 2026. He was born on June 6, 1946, in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of William Howard and Pauline Jean (Clear) Creed.
Bob loved going to church and singing in the choir. Bob was a very social man and truly never met a stranger. He leaves behind a legacy of giving and always putting others before himself.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister Beverly Nichols; sister-in-law Janice Creed; sister-in-law Carol (Brad) Snyder; and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Linda Creed.

David Vaughn Ellison
David Vaughn Ellison, 83, of Tipton, died on Tuesday, March 23, 2026, at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, on July 22, 1942, to Wilbur and Thelma (Bootman) Ellison. He married Ima D. Dailey on November 10, 1979, and enjoyed nearly 30 years of marriage until her death on January 5, 2009.
David worked at Callahan Seeds and then for Beck’s Hybrid. He was a 1960 graduate of Stewartsville High School and was a member of the Community of Christ Church. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hunting and relaxing at his fishing hole.
Survivors include his children Tamera Clark of St. Joseph, MO, Cynthia Embrey and husband Donnie of Elwood, KS, Nicki Puckett of Denver, CO, and David L. Ellison and Alfred “Pete” McAdams and wife Jackie of Elwood, IN. His 11 grandchildren include: Roy Miller, Rachel Puckett, Jessica Gelinas, David V. Ellison, Abigail Clark-Helms, Harlowe Droghei, Cade Droghei, Chase Ellison, Justin McAdams, Zachary McAdams, and Coty Sovern. David has a sister Eva Gann in Stewartsville, MO.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Earl and Ronald Ellison.

Dutton James “Huey” Hewetson IV
Dutton James “Huey” Hewetson IV, 68, of Kokomo, passed away peacefully at 7:31 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his home, surrounded by family and friends who loved him deeply. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on July 20, 1957, to the late Dutton James Hewetson III and Betty Jean (Kreag) Hewetson. On October 3, 2003, he married Sheri (Sutter), who survives.
Huey was a 1975 graduate of Haworth High School and went on to attend Ball State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy in 1980. He retired from Functional Devices as Vice President after 25 years of dedicated service. He was an active member of the Y’s Men organization, where he held several leadership roles, including president.
Huey had a deep love for life’s simple joys. He was passionate about golf and spent much of his life at the Kokomo Country Club, where he started as a bag boy and caddie, later becoming an assistant greenskeeper and a board member. Whether fly-fishing in Canada with friends, playing Gin at KCC, or perfecting his lawn and garden, he found happiness in the moments that brought people together. He was known for his incredible cooking, his love of singing opera, and his ability to make anyone around him laugh.
Proud of his Irish heritage, Huey carried that identity with joy and spirit throughout his life. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and family man. His love for his family was unwavering, and he took great pride in being present, supportive, and deeply connected to those he cared about most.
In addition to his wife Sheri, Huey is survived by his children Bridget (Tanner) Hewetson–Quick, AJ Hewetson, and Katie Hewetson; sisters Connie (Donnie) Mortz and Vicki Carter; mother-in-law Barbara Sutter; brother-in-law David (Hayley) Sutter; nieces and nephews Cole Mortz, Matt and Heather Pagan, Jason Miller, Jamie Hines, Mysty, and Kassy and Logan Sutter; along with many other cherished family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law Dale Sutter; and his brother-in-law Ed Carter.

Hudson Lee Finicle
Hudson Lee Finicle, beloved son of Austin and Karissa (Bates) Finicle, was born at 8:10 AM on March 19, 2026, and passed later that morning in his mother’s arms.
He leaves behind his loving parents Austin and Karissa Finicle; big brother Theo Finicle; maternal grandparents Brad (Michelle) Bates of Peru; maternal great-grandparents Steve (Norina) Morris of Kokomo and Ray (Debbie) Hostetler of Macy; paternal grandparents Ron (Bobbie) Dausch of Peru; aunt Krysten Finicle; uncle Braden (Caitlynn) Bates; and cousins Emmett, Charlotte, James, and Jackson. He was preceded by his paternal grandfather Steve Finicle.
