Pauline (Miller) Myers Rhine
Pauline (Miller) Myers Rhine, 97, of Bunker Hill, passed away at 3:30 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Wellbrooke of Kokomo. She was born in Howard County on December 2, 1928, the daughter of Alvin and Polly Hochstedler Miller. She married Paul Dale Myers on July 16, 1951, and he preceded her in death on August 29, 1976. She then married Richard D. Rhine on March 17, 1979, and he preceded her in death on March 25, 2013.
Pauline was a 1946 graduate of Clay Township High School and attended Goshen College. She was a member of Howard-Miami Church and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. She was well known for her extraordinary cooking skills, which showed true at the events and weddings she often catered. Baking and decorating wedding cakes was her specialty.
Pauline cherished her family more than anything. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Pauline is survived by her children Cheryl (Ken) Steinborn of Clayton, Teresa (Carey (dec.)) Miller of Kokomo, Ann (Dale (dec.)) Graber of Peru, Thomas (Marjorie) Myers of Illinois, Brent (Kimberly) Myers of Bunker Hill, Alan (Sharon) Myers of Alabama, and Krista (Wayne) Bradley of Kokomo, stepchildren Rick (Deb) Rhine of Mexico, IN, and Rodney (Brenda) Rhine of Kentucky, 21 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three children Evelyn, Eleanor, and Elaine; and her siblings Hilda Schrock and Barbara Ann Myers.
A service celebrating the life of Pauline Myers Rhine will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Howard-Miami Church, 3976 E, 1400 S, Kokomo, with Pastor Matt Stewart officiating. Burial will be in the Mast Hensler Cemetery. Family and friends will gather for visitation from 4:00–8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Howard-Miami Church.
Richard “Dick” Gale Bohnstedt
Richard “Dick” Gale Bohnstedt, age 90, of Milford, passed away on March 27, 2026, in Syracuse, Indiana. He was born on June 26, 1935, in Larwill, Indiana, to Clinton and Lucille (Brown) Bohnstedt. He married Carolyn Barnhart on December 24, 1954, in Pierceton, Indiana. She passed away on July 7, 2016.
A proud graduate of Larwill High School in 1953, Dick carried the values instilled in him during his formative years throughout his lifetime. He devoted 48 years to his role as the owner and operator of Precision Benders, a testament to his hard work, perseverance, and entrepreneurial spirit. His father and sons business was not only a vocation but a legacy that reflected his unwavering dedication to quality and providing for his family.
Dick’s interests extended beyond his professional life, painting a picture of a man who relished the simple joys of life. He enjoyed attending country music events alongside his beloved wife Carolyn, delightful moments that echoed his love for music and shared experiences. Dick had a keen enthusiasm for lawn mowers, tractors, and old cars, and he found great satisfaction in outdoor yard work, activities that connected him to the land and the rhythms of nature. Additionally, he was a devoted fan of Indiana University basketball and the Chicago Cubs, passions that enriched his leisure hours and brought him camaraderie with his family and fellow enthusiasts.
Behind every success and every joyful moment was a rich tapestry of family and friendship. Dick is survived by his children Debra (Gary) Hill of Milford, Daniel (Shawn) Bohnstedt of Milford, and Sharon (Ben) Reed of Greentown. He was also a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and a beloved great-grandfather to 17 great-grandchildren and two on the way. His sisters Bonnie Michael of New Jersey and Carol (Dale) Thomas of Texas, along with his sister-in-law Martha Bohnstedt of Churubusco and daughter-in-law Becky Taylor of Kentucky, also survive him, surrounding his memory with love and remembrance.
Preceding Dick in death were his parents, his dear wife Carolyn, son Jeff Bohnstedt, brother Gene Bohnstedt, and sisters Colleen Ward and Betty Goodrich. Their memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1001 S. Huntington Street, Syracuse, IN 46580. A Life Celebration Service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the funeral home. Pastor Ben Gates will officiate. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery in Milford, Indiana. Raymond Gale Harrington
Raymond Gale Harrington, 100, a lifelong resident of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on March 26, 2026. He was born on May 28, 1925, to the late William and Mary Harrington.
On December 31, 1949, Ray married Eva Burchett, beginning a marriage rooted in devotion and shared life. She preceded him in 2010.
Ray worked as a laborer for Kolux until his retirement. In his free time, he found satisfaction in woodworking, an enduring interest that spoke to his patient hands, practical skill, and appreciation for creating something lasting.
He is survived by several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Ray is preceded in death by his siblings: Harold Harrington, Geneva Scott, Willard Harrington, Dwain Harrington, Mable Webb, and Thelma Etherington.
A Committal Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 2, 2026, at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902, at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum.
Sarah Elizabeth Williams
Sarah Elizabeth Williams, 89, Kokomo, passed away peacefully with family at her side at 10:12 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the home of her daughter in Kokomo. She was born on October 2, 1936, in Marion, Virginia. While there, she met her future husband Earl Robert “Bob” Williams Jr. while he was visiting family. They were married on June 28, 1959, and moved to Kokomo. He preceded her in death August 11, 2018.
In Sarah’s younger years, she and Bob enjoyed going to Nashville, Tennessee, and Brown County, Indiana. They always looked forward to yearly trips with friends to Fan Fest in Nashville to meet their favorite country music artists.
Sarah retired from Delco Electronics in 1998 after 30 years of employment. She was a member of UAW #292. Sarah’s hobbies included gardening, finding collectibles, visiting flea markets, and going antiquing. She also enjoyed having family stop by to visit and playing card games with family and friends.
Surviving are her two daughters Deborah (William) Dunn of Westfield and Roberta (Anthony) Myers of Kokomo; 12 grandchildren Shannon (Adam) Castle, Heather (Anthony) Hutchens, Christopher (Stephanie) Dunn, Travis Dunn, Keith (Madison) Dunn, Tana (Josh) Mathieu, Matthew (Kelly) Myers, Mandy (Jeremy) Carter, Meghan (Jon) Walters, Maddie (Jeremy) Delp, Molly (Jonathan) Harris, and Kyle Williams; 22 great-grandchildren Corey, Tiffany, Stephen, Jalen, Alex, Cheyenne, Faith, Destiny, Peyton, Brooklyn, Phoenix, Lilyanna, Khloe, Zophia, Cecelia, Grayson, Chloe, Lincoln, Sarah, Zoe, and Emmalin; six great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Eva Mae (Gary) Adkins; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death is her husband of 65 years Bob Williams; her parents Henry C. and Mandy Harris; daughter Katherine Tafflinger; son Keith Williams; granddaughter Heidi Oakes; sister Charlotte “Bell” Schrader; and brothers Henry “Red” Preston, and John Harris.
The family would like to extend gratitude to Dr. Lance Washington and to Cassandra Cooper and Monica Westerman of Cherish Hospice for their exceptional care, love, and compassion they extended to Sarah and her entire family.
There will be a committal service for Sarah held at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, Chapel of Love, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
Ernest John Meissnest
Ernest John Meissnest, affectionately known as EJ to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on March 25,2026, in Kokomo, IN, at the age of 85. Born on May 9, 1940, in Lafayette, IN. EJ was the cherished son of the late Ernest G. and Edythe Meissnest.
EJ graduated from Kokomo High School, where he was running back on the state championship football team in 1957. He continued his education by attending Indiana University Kokomo. He served his country with honor by joining the Air Force. After his military service he raised four sons Thom, Hans, Kurt, and Eric. EJ had a successful career at Chrysler where he was known for his dedication and leadership as a supervisor until his retirement in 2003. On August 30, 1985, E.J. married the love of his life Jan Meissnest, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter.
He was also a brother to the late Tom Meissnest and Chris Meissnest.
EJ’s interests were as warm and inviting as his personality. He was an avid golfer, racquetball player, and bicyclist. Camping trips were a favorite family pastime where memories were made under the stars.
His beloved dog Mr. Cooper was a constant companion, reflecting the loving and kind nature of his owner. EJ’s presence was a comfort and joy to those who knew him. His family and friends always enjoyed his stories and sense of humor.
EJ will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Jan; his proud sons Thom, Hans, Kurt, and Eric; his brother Chris; and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. EJ Meissnest’s life was a beautiful journey, and his memory will be cherished.
