James Royal “Lobo” Davis
James Royal “Lobo” Davis, 77. Matthews, Indiana, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 1, 2026, in the Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born September 29, 1948, in Winamac, Indiana, he was the son of the late Roy and Margaret (Osborn) Davis.
Jim was retired from ConRail where he had worked as a railroad engineer for many years. From 1971 - 1973, Jim served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His passion was motorcycles. Jim was a member of Hell’s Henchmen.
He is survived by one son James Harley Davis of Kokomo; one sister Jenny Davis; and six grandchildren Seth Davis, Sarah Davis, Hunter Davis, Jaden Davis, Devington Davis, and Rory Davis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bart Davis and daughter Jessica Renee Davis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, April 6, at his son’s residence at 1688 East, Co. Rd. 200 North, Kokomo, IN 46901.

Mary Agnes Brantley
Mary Agnes Brantley, 100, of Kokomo, passed away at 11:04 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent in Kokomo. She was born on July 26, 1925, the daughter of Kyle S. and Angeline L. (Tate) Long. On June 19, 1945, she married Ondis Brantley in Sharps Chapel, and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2023.
Mary will be remembered as being a wonderful mom to her children. She was also a talented cook and gardener, growing fresh vegetables for canning, and grew beautiful flowers.
Mary is survived by her children Boyd (Thea) Brantley, Brenda (Jim) Papacek, Terry (Marcia) Brantley, and Pam (Steve) Hulce; grandchildren David Brantley, Heather (Mark) Humphrey, Bethe (Pat) Murray, Leigh (Matt) Rhoda, Amanda Brantley, Amy Brantley, Brandon (Carrie) Cloud, Adam Cloud, Jason (Sara) Hulce, and Ryan (fiancée, Katie Griner) Hulce; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; siblings Mabel Mayes, Shirley Wolfenbarger, Billy (Juanita) Long, Kenny (Blanche) Long, Diane (Ronnie) Combs, and Jamie Bonawitz; sister-in-law Polly Long; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ondis Brantley; parents Kyle and Angeline Long; siblings Edward Long, A.G. Long, Eugene Long, Ronnie Long, and Bobby Long; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service celebrating Mary’s life will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Joyce Harris officiating. Entombment in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery will follow. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until service time. Lois Barbara Unger
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Barbara Unger, who passed away on March 29, 2026, at the age of 54.
Lois Barbara Unger was born on June 9, 1971, in Hoopeston, Illinois. She lived a life full of love, kindness, and care for others. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and found joy in the simple things in life. Lois will be remembered for her warm heart, kind spirit, and the love she shared with everyone.
She is survived by sons Donald Bryant and Ricky Bryant, sisters Mary Henderson, Janet Porter, Judy Bradford (Ron), Paula Cagley (Kip), Della Hartman (Al), and Jamie Webb, and brother Curt Webb, who will all miss her dearly.
A service to honor Lois Barbara Unger’s life will be held on April 10, 2026, at the Carpenter’s House at 2 p.m.; 37 County Rd. West, 550 North, Kokomo IN 46901.
Lois will always be remembered and forever loved.
Oliver Otto Bitner
Oliver Otto Bitner, two days old, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born March 23, 2026, to Anthony Stewart and Sarah Elizabeth (Becker) Bitner.
Oliver was loved and anticipated beyond measure. From the moment he was known, he was cherished, dreamed of, and already a part of so many hearts. Though he was so little and his time on earth was so brief, the love he brought into the world was immeasurable and will remain forever. He will always be remembered, always be loved, and always be a part of his family’s story. “A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
Those who will carry his love with them always include his parents; big brother Anthony Sebastian Bitner; grandparents Anthony Shane & Phyllis Bitner and Daniel & Diana Becker; great-grandmother Marilyn Perryman; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Ronald Ulrey, Jack & Betty Becker, James Perryman, Arlene & Stewart Smith, and Leroy & Constance Bitner.
