Linda Carol Creason

Linda Carol Creason, 78, Kokomo, passed away at 8:51 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Primrose Assisted Living, Kokomo. She was born September 15, 1947, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Willard Q. & Luella E. (Maish) Trueblood. On May 23, 1969, she married Gary Creason, and he survives.

Linda was a 1965 graduate of Kokomo High School. She was a member of Judson Road Christian Church. Linda loved flowers, especially the ones Gary planted for her. She also enjoyed camping, taking her dog for walks, and get-togethers with old friends. Linda looked forward to sporting events that involved her children and grandchildren; she was their biggest fan. She enjoyed window shopping, bargain hunting, and was a fan of the Price is Right.

Along with her loving husband Gary, Linda is also survived by her children Jerry (Connie) Creason, Chad (Amanda Cook) Creason, and Julie (Dustan) Hunt; grandchildren Kyle (Haven) Creason, Hallie Creason, Naomi Cook, Owen Hunt and Olivia Hunt; sister Marilyn Cohee; sister-in-law Carolyn (Jack) Taylor, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers-in-law Richard “Dick” Cohee and Gerald Creason.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastor Gary Carpenter officiating. John G. Hursh

John G. Hursh, 79, of Kempton, passed away at 1:03 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville, IN. He was born in Peru, IN, on January 21, 1947. He was an only child, and he was raised by his grandparents John David Cochran and Altha Mae (Leckrone) Cochran. On September 7, 1968, he married Linda Reynolds in Tipton, IN, and she survives.

John was a 1965 graduate of Oak Hill High School. He served an apprenticeship at Chrysler to achieve becoming a Pipefitter. He served at Chrysler for 36 years until his retirement. John proudly served our country in the United States Army, earning the rank of Technician Sergeant. He served during Vietnam and was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 7th Calvary Regiment. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal, an Air Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Many of John’s hobbies revolved around his patriotism and military service. He was a proud member of the Greentown American Legion #317, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 28, and the Howard County Vietnam Veterans Club. He collected Vietnam Veterans memorabilia and enjoyed attending gun shows, flea markets, and veteran meet-ups across the United States. He was a member of UAW Local #1166, where he served on the Veterans Committee.

John was a strong-willed but super helpful man. He was very social and never knew a stranger. He was a past President of the Kempton Lions Club and coached Little League baseball in Kempton. John enjoyed spending vacations and winters in Sebring, Florida.

In addition to his wife Linda, John is survived by his sons John (Tricia) Hursh and Doug Hursh; aunt Janet Hyatt; grandchildren Shelby (Ellie) Hursh, Lexi (Caleb) Burkett, Zachary (Tasha) Tygart, Megan (Chris) Smith, and Evan Hursh; and great-grandchildren Ari-Renee Smith, Aubriella Smith, Adalyn Smith, Kamryn Farinella, Logan Farinella, and William Tygart.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.

Joseph T. Kennedy, Jr.

Joseph T. Kennedy, Jr., 74, passed away peacefully at his home on Lake Tippecanoe in Leesburg, Indiana, on September 2, 2026.

Joe was born on September 9, 1951, in Jackson Heights, Borough of Queens, New York City, New York, to Joseph Thomas Kennedy and Ina Mae Bryson Kennedy Crowe. His grandparents immigrated from County Longford, Ireland.

He is survived by his loving daughter Jennifer (Jasen) Hobson and his three grandsons Patrick Hobson, Brody Hobson, and Graham Hobson. He is survived by his sister Carol (Jim) Billiard, along with his nieces Dawn Gundersen, Tara (Tony) Emrick, Ann-Marie (David) Hart, and Ashley (Wayne) Lehto. He is also survived by his brother Clifford “Pat” (Tricia) Crowe III and nieces Zoe Crowe and Remi Crowe, and great-nieces and nephews Justin Hammock, Taylor Turton, Bridgette Turton, Cade Turton, Finley Hart, Jacob Lehto, and Ben Lehto. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Kennedy and Ina and Clifford H. Crowe, Jr.

Joe spent much of his life close to his family. In 1965, when his mother relocated from New York City to Kokomo, Indiana, Joe made the move with her and continued his education there. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1970. He later married Judith Lynne Helhorst Kennedy Fulmer, who is the mother of his beloved daughter Jennifer.

Throughout his career, Joe embraced a variety of opportunities. His professional experiences included working as a lineman for Indiana Bell Telephone Company, serving as a store manager for JoAnn Fabrics, working at Hillcrest Country Club in Indianapolis, Indiana, and working at Westview Country Club in Miami, Florida, among several other positions over the years.

Joe’s life took him to many places, including Jackson Heights, New York; Honolulu, Hawaii; Denver, Colorado; Miami and Marco Island, Florida; Indianapolis, Kokomo, and Leesburg, Indiana. No matter where life led him, he was happiest near the water. Whether living by the ocean or on a lake, Joe loved sunshine and spending time outdoors. He was a very good water skier and snow skier.

Joe was a dog lover and had an Irish Setter, two Alaskan Malamutes, and a Golden Retriever during his lifetime.

In retirement, Joe found great joy in welcoming family and friends to his home on Lake Tippecanoe. He treasured time spent with loved ones, valued the many friendships he built throughout his life, and was always ready to share a laugh, a story, and a cocktail in good company.

After being diagnosed with cancer, Joe faced his illness with determination and courage, fighting for two years with remarkable strength.

A funeral service celebrating Joe’s life will take place at 12 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Dave Osborne officiating. Terry Thomas Tribby

Terry Thomas Tribby, 75, Kokomo, passed away at 10:32 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. He was born March 25, 1951, in Williamsport, Indiana, the son of the late Charles Tribby & Leona (Sipes) Watson. On December 23, 1992, he married Karen Vincent, who survives.

Terry was a 1969 graduate of Attica High School and was a member of the Attica High School championship basketball team, a distinction that remained a notable part of his early years. He went on to attend Purdue University, graduating in 1974 with a degree in Education. He retired in 2018 from Howard County, where he served as an Information Systems Director.

Outside of work, Terry enjoyed the activities and traditions that brought people together. He was an outdoorsy person who loved hunting and fishing, and spending time with others at family get-togethers. He looked forward each year to the annual Fourth of July party, an occasion that clearly held a special place in his life. He was also known as a great cook, and his fish frys were loved by everyone who gathered for them.

Terry was a sports fan who followed the Indianapolis Colts and Purdue football, and he enjoyed the friendly competition of playing cornhole, horseshoes, and golfing. Among the many details that made him memorable was his love of plaid, a simple but unmistakable part of how many will remember him.

Along with his wife Karen Tribby, Terry is also survived by his children Joshua Tribby, Tasha (Mike) Asbell, Chad Clark, Joshua (Farrol) Clark, and Lindsay (Klay) Knox; his half-brother Nathaniel Tribby; his grandchildren Ty (Afton) Tribby, MaryAnn (Daniel) Bullerdick, Myla Asbell, Tenley Asbell, Leland Knox, Eli Knox, Ada Knox, Addy Clark, and Vivian Clark; and his great-grandchildren Layton Tribby, Lawson Tribby, and Addison Bullerdick. He is also remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Teresa Rhode.

Leroy Parton

Leroy Parton was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on February 28, 1939. After 87 years on this Earth, he went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 4, 2026, while at home, surrounded by his family. His parents were Dall Roy & Nellie Lee (Chellette) Parton. Leroy had lived in Coalfield, Tennessee, for 13 years before moving to Tipton County. On May 18, 1963, he married Mae “Liz” Morris, and she survives.

Leroy worked at GMC in Indianapolis for 32 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Tipton Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for many years. He became a Christian in 1968. Leroy served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962 on the U.S.S. Randolph, which he was on when it became the recovery ship for astronaut John Glenn’s historic first orbital flight.

In his earlier years, Leroy liked to fish and camp, as well as spend a lot of good, quality family time. He enjoyed making things, especially with wood, such as bird houses and log cabin lamps. He would then give them to friends.

Leroy is survived by his wife Liz, two daughters Cynthia Caldwell and husband Phil of Elwood and Danette Bartlow and husband Gary of Converse. He is also survived by one sister Judy Netherton of Kokomo and four grandchildren Josh (Dena) Caldwell, Morgan (Xavier) McCurry, Michael Bartlow, and Jeremy (Danielle) Bartlow; and four great-grandchildren James Bartlow, Daisy Bartlow, Elizabeth Bartlow, and Everette McCurry.

He was preceded in death by three brothers Bob, Eugene, and Dallas Parton, and two sisters Linda Parton and Lois Truman.

A funeral service for Leroy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, with John Ankrom presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, with military honors provided by the U.S. Navy and the Tipton American Legion. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.

Holly Elaine Abdelhak

Holly Elaine Abdelhak was born into the loving arms of her family on September 3, 2026, in Carmel, Indiana, and on that same day was welcomed gently into the arms of Heaven.

Holly was the precious daughter of Mandy Renae (Mapes) and Yusseff Amin Abdelhak, who have shared their lives in marriage since May 27, 2023. Though Holly’s time on earth was far too brief, her life was filled with love from its very beginning. She was dreamed of, waited for, and deeply loved long before the day her family was meant to hold her in their arms.

There are no words that can measure a life by days, hours, or breaths. Holly’s life is measured instead by love, the love of her parents, the hopes and dreams they carried for her, and the place she will forever hold within her family. Her tiny life touched their hearts in a way that time can never erase.

You never took a breath upon this earth,

but you were loved through every beat of your heart.

We dreamed of your smile, your laugh, your life,

and we will carry those dreams with us always.

Too precious for this world, too loved to ever be forgotten.

Those left to carry on Holly’s legacy of love are her parents Mandy and Yusseff Abdelhak; siblings Olive, Milo, Violet, and Sophie; grandmothers Irene Bublik and Donna Mapes; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Holly was welcomed into Heaven by her grandpa Matthew Mapes, who was there to receive his precious granddaughter with love.

A Celebration of Life for Holly will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Rock Prairie Baptist Church, located at 421 Ash Street in Tipton, Indiana. A private burial will take place at Tipton’s Fairview Cemetery.

Roberta L. Rosenogle

Roberta L. Rosenogle, known lovingly to family and friends as Bobbie, passed away on September 5, 2026, in Kokomo, Indiana, at the age of 65.

Bobbie was born on March 3, 1961, in Kendallville, Indiana, to Billy and Emma Rosenogle, who preceded her in death. She was raised with strong family values and a warm spirit that remained with her throughout her life. Bobbie attended East Noble High School and carried the lessons of her upbringing into every part of her life. She was a lifelong resident of Indiana and was especially proud of the community connections she built over the years.

Bobbie devoted 15 years of service to the Kendallville BMV, where she was known for her dependable nature, kind personality, and willingness to help others. Her coworkers and those she served came to appreciate her friendly manner and steady presence. She approached her work with care and professionalism, and she took pride in being someone others could count on. Her years of service reflected the same generosity and dedication that she showed in her personal life.

Family was the center of Bobbie’s world, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved. She is survived by her children Tiffany Thorn and her husband Nolan, Chelsa Sunday and her husband Rich, and DJ Manns and his wife Morgan. She was a proud grandmother to Piper, Jaxon, Madison, Zoe, Isabelle, Emma, and Joel, and she treasured each of them deeply. Bobbie also leaves behind her sisters Elizabeth Rose, Marlene Rosengle, and Sarah Cahill and her husband John, as well as her brother Bill Rosenogle and his wife Sharon. Her family will remember her as a loving, generous, and friendly woman whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around her.

Bobbie had a huge heart and was known for the love she freely gave to others. She enjoyed crocheting and found peace and satisfaction in creating beautiful things with her hands. She also loved doing diamond art, and she took delight in the patience and creativity those projects required. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing card games and dice, especially when those moments were shared with family and friends. More than anything, she valued time spent with the people closest to her, and those gatherings became cherished memories for everyone involved.

Faith was also an important part of Bobbie’s life, and she attended Fuel Church. Her faith and her caring nature were reflected in the way she treated others, always with kindness, warmth, and compassion. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and she carried herself with a gentle spirit that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Bobbie will be remembered for her loving heart, her generous spirit, and her friendly nature. She lived her life with devotion to her family and with a sincere desire to bring happiness to others. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and all who were blessed to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the example she set will remain a source of comfort and strength for those she leaves behind.

Marvin T. “Tim” Nash

Marvin T. “Tim” Nash, 82, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Copper Trace Family-First Senior Living in Westfield. Tim had previously lived in Tipton, Lafayette, and Thorntown. He was born in Elwood on November 24, 1943, to Robert & Josephine (Surratt) Nash. Meeting up with Tena (Lewis) Frazer at their 50th class reunion, a romance was sparked, and the two were married just a few months later. They got to share just over 13 special years together before Tim’s passing.

Tim and Tena graduated from Tipton High School with the Class of 1962. Tim attended Purdue University after high school but then left college to enlist in the U.S. Army and fight in Vietnam. After the war, he returned to Purdue and graduated with a degree in geology in 1971.

While in the Army Tim was in the 3rd Infantry Division in West Germany in 1967; in 1968, he was in the First Signal Brigade in South Vietnam, where he fought in the Tet Offensive and numerous other battles, earning several medals before his discharge in 1969 with the rank of E5. Tim was employed at Staley Corporation in Lafayette as a Millwright for 29 years. He belonged to the First Presbyterian Church in Noblesville.

Tim was the definition of an adventurer. He traveled all over the United States and Canada on his motorcycle, sometimes alone, and sometimes his sons went along on the journey. His love of nature meant he also took long canoe trips, camping and meeting people along the way. Tim was extremely generous, many times helping people he met, giving them money or one time, literally, the coat off his back to someone who needed it more than he did. He loved to challenge himself outdoors.

Survivors include his wife Tena, sons Shawn Michel Nash and wife Anne of Thorntown, Shane Thomas “Tommy” Nash and wife Chrissy of Jamestown, and Troy Frazer and wife Kristi of Indianapolis. He is survived by one brother Dane P. “Pat” Nash and wife Jane of Indianapolis. Tim has seven grandchildren Drew Rodehan, Tatum Nash, Emma Nash, Kirsten (Paxton) Girdley, Kyndsey Hale, Andrew (Brittany) Ramsey, and Brock Frazer. He also has six great-grandchildren Berkley, Beckett, and Brynlee Rose Girdley, and Harrison, Jack, and Vivian Ramsey.

Those members of Tim’s family waiting for him in Heaven are his parents Mr. & Mrs. Robert L. Nash and two brothers John Michel “Mike” Nash and Richard A. “Andy” Nash.
