Daryle Leon Chandler

Daryle Leon Chandler, 71, Kokomo, passed away at 8:53 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026, at his home. He was born on December 17, 1954, in Kokomo, the son of James Chandler and Enid (Newburn) Milburn.

Daryle served in the United Staes Navy, then worked at Chrysler, retiring after 28 years of service. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and being a hard worker.

He is survived by his daughter Crystal Chandler-Moore; lifelong friend Dominque Rushton and her son Victor, who Daryle thought of as his own son; stepmother Patty (Jeff) Kohel; grandchildren Trent Bray, Krissa Moore, Ayiana Moore, Suzanne Moore, Emily Moore, and Tyana Motton; great-grandchildren Avery Biggs and Kadien Fink; sisters Robin Rogers and Kim Flitcraft; and nephew John Parkey.

He was preceded by his parents and Norman Yocom.

A memorial service celebrating Daryle’s life will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, with Pastor David Cohron officiating. Alicia Suzanne Kenworthy

Alicia Suzanne Kenworthy, 50, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 21, 2026, after fighting an illness. She was born July 14, 1976, to the late Wayne and Deborah (Miller) Kenworthy.

She enjoyed crafts, coloring, music, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her brother Matthew Kenworthy; cousins Rachel Shiflet (Jeremey), Seth Miller (Gennifer), Jennifer Miller (Colton), Jacob Miller, Jessica Dubay (Joseph), Sarah Dubay, Jason Dubay (Amy), Josh Dubay, Bob Graves (Julie), Sonny Graves (Nicole), Raelynn Miller (Tyler), Derek Miller, and Katelynn Miller; aunts Peggy Smith, Dottie Dubay (Roy), Donna Graves, and Tracy Miller; uncles Dwayne Miller and Doug Miller (Beth); as well as family friends Brad Whitacre and Lucinda Miller.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents Alice and Miles Miller and uncles Dean and Darrell Miller.

There will be no public service at this time.

Mark Allen Bowland

Mark Allen Bowland, 58, of Converse, passed away at 7:34 P.M., Saturday, September 19, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Marion, IN, on September 22, 1967, the son of Melvin “Jim” and Sharon (Collis) Bowland.

Mark was an outdoor enthusiast. You could find him camping and fishing. He loved spending time surrounded by nature, sitting around the campfire, enjoying the peacefulness of the water, and sharing those moments with friends and family. He was a true handyman who could fix just about anything. Mark took great pride in his work, always giving every job his best effort and never hesitating to lend a helping hand.

Mark is survived by his parents Jim and Sharon Bowland and sisters Cheryl Pinkard and her husband Noel of Kokomo and Michelle Gansel of Florida. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.

Roberta L. Driscoll

Roberta L. Driscoll, 75, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on September 19, 2026. She was born on September 26, 1950, in Peru, Indiana, and lived a life marked by love, faith, creativity, and devotion to her family and community.

Roberta was the beloved daughter of the late Robert G. Disinger and Anna L. Jackson. She grew up with strong family values that remained at the center of her life. She was a graduate of Tri-Central High School and Ivy Tech College, and she carried the lessons she learned throughout her life with grace and determination. Roberta was known for her steady work ethic and her kind spirit, and she took great pride in the life she built.

For 26 years, Roberta served as manager of Village Pantry, where she was respected for her dedication, reliability, and warm personality. She was always proud of her job and was passionate about people. Her ability to connect with others made her a familiar and trusted presence to many, and she approached her work with both professionalism and heart. She believed in treating others with kindness, and that belief was reflected in the way she lived each day.

Roberta was a loving, creative, and faith-filled woman whose greatest joy came from her family. She loved to crochet and was known for being crafty, always finding joy in creating something with her hands. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing BINGO, and she especially loved cooking for her family. Her home was often filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting presence of someone who cared deeply for those around her. She was an amazing grandmother, and her family was truly her world. To those who loved her most, she was lovingly known as Nana, a name that reflected the special place she held in the hearts of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Mendy Monroe and her partner Mike Flynn, Donna Webb and her partner John Watson, Rebecca Craig and her husband Randy, and Alayna Driscoll. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. Her love extended deeply through generations, and the legacy of her care and devotion will continue in the lives of her family.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents Robert G. Disinger and Anna L. Jackson, as well as her sister Rebecca Smith and her brother Robert G. Disinger; and grandchildren Becca Lynn Reynolds, Jeffery Glenn Carter Reynolds, and Sarah Webb. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is reunited with those who went before her.

Roberta’s life was a beautiful example of love in action. She gave freely of herself, cherished simple joys, and remained steadfast in her faith and devotion to the people she loved. Her creativity, her warmth, and her generous heart touched many lives, and her memory will be treasured always. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Scott Gregory Etheridge

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Scott Gregory Etheridge, “Flipper,” “Big E,” passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 66. Scott was a wonderful father, brother, uncle, partner, and best friend whose heart and love touched the lives of all who knew him.

Scott is survived by his two loving and devoted daughters Katlyn Annice and Allison Nicole; his caring and wonderful brother Bradley Etheridge; and his nephews Adam Etheridge, Kyle Etheridge (Alexy), and Lane Etheridge.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents Joan (Hutton) Etheridge and Paul Etheridge and his two brothers Jeffery Etheridge and Steven Etheridge.

Scott was born on October 2, 1959, in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Etheridge family moved to Brooksville in 1969, where Scott grew up and graduated from Hernando High School in 1977. He then went on to attend the University of Florida for two years and graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

In the early ‘90s, Scott started his lifelong career as a Federal Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). He continued to make his legacy known with ATF as he moved from Charleston, South Carolina, to Washington, D.C., and then finally to Tampa, Florida, as the area supervisor.

Outside of work, you would find Scott coaching softball at New Tampa Little League and New Tampa Predators, running endless miles through Cross Creek, cheering on the Florida Gators, and making countless memories with friends and family.

Scott lived life to the fullest each and every day. When you would ask Scott how he was doing, he would respond, “I woke up this morning.” While he may not always have known how to express his love, he had a generous heart and would have given you the shirt off his back.

Scott will be laid to rest with his parents at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton at a later date.

As Jimmy Buffett would say: “Some of it’s magic, some of it’s tragic, but I had a good life all the way.”

Shirley Ann (Perkins) LeClair

Shirley Ann (Perkins) LeClair passed away on September 15, 2026. She was born February 10, 1938, in Kokomo, the daughter of Richard H. and Leota (Harris) Perkins. She was married February 3, 1962, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church to Joseph L. LeClair, who passed away March 18, 2002.

Mom was a 1956 graduate of Kokomo High School and attended Ball State University. She was employed at Delco Electronics for four years from 1958 through 1961 and worked for the City of Firsts Credit Union from 1983 until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of, and volunteer at, St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. She was a Girl Scout Leader and had served on the Tribal Trails Girl Scout Council. She had also served on the Kokomo Symphony Board. Her volunteer activities included Samaritan Caregivers, The American Red Cross, the Howard County Historical Society, Howard Community Hospital, Bon Air School, Indiana Special Olympics, and the International Special Olympics. Mom enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, and knitting. During the 20 years our dad served in the Air Force, we lived in England, Texas, Germany, Kansas, Missouri, and Indiana.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Laura and Steve Grubb of Mountain View, California, Karen and Dan Nesbit of St. Michael, Minnesota, Susan and Nate Nastase of Kailua, Hawaii, and “adopted” daughters Jayne (Atkisson) Gryga of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Charlotte (Strange) Mayer of West Chester, Ohio. In addition, mom had seven grandchildren whom she loved deeply: Adam Grubb, David Grubb, Abigail (Jewison) Nesbit, Ethan Nesbit, Grace Nastase, Alex Nastase, and Fletcher Nesbit. Shirley had one sister Katherine (Perkins) Pfettscher of Kokomo and a brother Tom Perkins of Hickory, North Carolina.

Shirley also had numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews: Paul, Jeanne, Paul, Kurt, Brett, Richard, Betsye, Stacy, and T. She also had several great-nieces and great-nephews. Shirley leaves behind her sweetheart Bill Braden of Bringhurst, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and our dad, as well as brother-in-law Paul Pfettscher, sister-in-law June Perkins, and nieces Jill Jeffries and Heidi Kunze.

A celebration of mom’s life will be held at a later date.

Shirley LeClair loved and was loved by many people over the course of her 88 years, and it should be noted that her favorite daughter wrote her obituary.
