Tyler Ashton Stephenson
Tyler Ashton Stephenson, age 32, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Marion, Indiana on April 29, 1991, to his parents, Matthew Stephenson & Lora (Ricks) Stephenson.
Tyler graduated from Mississinewa High School in the class 2009. He was currently working toward his HVAC certification.
Tyler was a talented baseball player in his younger years. He was very tech savvy and enjoyed working on computers. He loved tattoos, and proudly displayed many!
You couldn’t find a nicer guy than Tyler. He was very giving and always tried to see the best in others. He never knew a stranger and loved to be surrounded by lots of friends. He was known for random acts of kindness, always on the lookout for others that may be in need of assistance. He would often carry the groceries of strangers if they looked like they needed a hand, always without a second thought of anything in return. He was a happy soul and will always be remembered for his contagious laugh. He never cared about the materialistic things of this world. He was proud to volunteer in his church and enjoyed bible study.
Those left to carry on Tyler’s legacy of love are his parents, Lora Stephenson, Matthew “Pops” (Amie) Stephenson; brother, Joseph (Rachel) Garcia; step-sister, Raygen Curtis; grandparents, Connie & Bob Moore; aunts and uncles, Cheryl Ontiyeros, Chad Ricks, Chris Ricks, Michelle Horton, Tony Stephenson, Richard McCart, Renee Dodson, Nancy McCart; nieces and nephews, Anayla Ricks, Matthew Ricks, Aiden Ricks, Brooklynn Garcia, Madilynn Garcia, Alexandra Garcia; cousins, Nathan Ricks, Nijal Ricks, Antonio Reyes, David Quintana, Bradley Horton, Ragen Dodson, Ben Stephenson, Daniel Stephenson, Layla Grace Ricks, Amanda Ricks; pastor/friend, Hal Hutton; as well as cousin and best friend, Nicholas McCart.
Tyler was welcomed into Heaven by his brother, Matthew Ricks; grandparents, Jerry Stephenson, and Kenneth & Connie Ricks.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Vicki Miles
Vicki Miles, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023, in Kokomo, Indiana. Born on October 25, 1954, in Cape May, New Jersey, Vicki was a beacon of love, generosity, and intelligence, whose influence extended far beyond her family circle.
Vicki was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Betty Venable. She was a proud graduate of Wildwood High School, where she showcased her intelligence and love for learning. After graduation, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a bookkeeper and medical assistant, providing unwavering support to her husband's medical office. Vicki was not only her husband's life partner but also his professional partner, demonstrating her commitment to their shared vision of providing quality healthcare.
Vicki's love story with her husband, John Miles, was a testament to their shared love and respect. Together, they raised a beautiful daughter, Julie A. Miles, who further blessed them with two grandchildren, Ayden and River Miles, sister Paula Nicely, brother Scott Venable. Vicki's love for her family was evident in everything she did. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.
Beyond her professional achievements, Vicki was a woman of many talents and interests. She loved canning the bounty from her husband's garden, a testament to her belief in home-grown goodness. Her love for crafts was evident in the beautiful pieces she created, each one a symbol of her creativity and attention to detail. Vicki's hands were rarely still, and her home was a warm and welcoming place filled with the fruits of her labor.
The words generous, loving, and intelligent only begin to describe Vicki. Her generosity extended beyond her family, touching the lives of many in her community. Her love was a refuge for those who were fortunate to know her. Her intelligence shone through in her career, her interests, and her conversations.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." Vicki embodied this sentiment in every aspect of her life. She lived well, loved deeply, and made a significant difference in the lives of those around her.
Vicki's life was a testament to the power of love, the value of generosity, and the impact of living a life filled with purpose. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her husband, John, her daughter, Julie, and her grandchildren, Ayden and River. She will be dearly missed yet fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Vicki Miles was a woman who truly lived, loved, and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, a life lived with purpose, love, and generosity. We honor her memory by living our lives with the same kindness and compassion she showed everyone. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
Larry L. Conwell Jr.
Larry L. Conwell Jr, 57, Kokomo, passed away at 3:05 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo. He was born December 26, 1965, in Kokomo to Larry L. Sr and Sharolyn K. (Potts) Pitner.
Larry loved to travel, especially to the Smokey Mountains as well as riding rollercoasters at Kings Island. He enjoyed helping others whenever he could, specifically the homeless and hurting.
He is survived by his mom, Sharolyn Pitner; aunt, Jeannie (Jerry) Landseadel; uncle, Jim Potts; cousins, Megan Landseadel, Matthew Landseadel, Amanda Wood, and Christina Davis; and his cat, Mama.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Larry L. Conwell Sr.; and an uncle, Robert Miles Sr.

Carletta Ann Woodward
Carletta Ann Woodward, 68, Kokomo, passed away at 8:15 am on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Community Howard Regional Hospital. She was born on October 13, 1955, to the late James Leroy and Dolores Irene (DeVries) Merrell.
Carletta was a 1973 graduate of Kokomo High School and completed a couple years of college. She worked on the assembly line for Delco Electronics and retired after 23.5 years of service. She was a volunteer for the Howard Regional Health System off and on over the years. She loved spending time with her family, watching movies and enjoyed good food. She also liked doing crosswords & puzzles as well as playing board games.
Carletta is survived by her children, Chelsea Woodward, and Westley “Courtney” Woodward; grandchildren, Alexius Sharp, Kylee Sharp, and Wyatt Woodward; siblings, Jim (Laura) Merrell and Janice (Bill) Roe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Louise Gifford.
A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Will Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden. Friends may visit with the family from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
