Clara Mae (Karns) Rutherford

Clara Mae (Karns) Rutherford, age 92, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Clara was born in Maumee, Ohio.

A time of visitation for Clara will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Following the time of visitation will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM.

Clara will be laid to rest in Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902-4839.



Bonnie Louise Roberts

Bonnie Louise Roberts, 70, Kokomo, passed away at 6:40 pm Wednesday March 20, 2024, at North Woods Village in Kokomo. She was born August 12, 1953, Greenfield, IN, the daughter of the late Francis & Florence (Beers) Guffey. She was married To Donald Miller from 1979-1993. She then married Robert Roberts who preceded her in death in 2002.

Bonnie was a 1970 graduate of Windfall High School. She earned her degree from Indiana Business College where she majored in Business. She had worked for Star Glove Factory and as a bartender and waitress for the Flamingo Bar. Bonnie was a member of Judson Road Christian Church.

Bonnie loved to fish, sew, play cards and Bingo, color on her tablet, and watch the ION and Hallmark Channel. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and was very active with the Senior Center and the VFW.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Fay (Bill) Miller, Charlie Ellis, Donnie (Bettysue) Miller, James (Alyce) Miller-Hayenga, Bonnie Miller, Amanda (Matt) Spane and Clarissa Johns; grandchildren, Alyshia Wheeler, Paxton Spane, Lilly Spane, Ben Long, Morgan Hayenga, Jonathan Charlie Ray Ellis, Darion Nicole Warden, Aspen Colton McKinley Ellis, Annistee Corina Marie Ellis, Hailee Denise Jude Ellis, Amanda Lee Ann Ellis, Charles Anthony Ray Ellis, Taylynn Danielle Fugate, Melodi Dawn Marsh, Chevelle Allen; great-grandchildren, Ja’Kyrah Wheeler, Ivan Grey Dominguez, Mateo Dominguez, Asher Cain Prpic, La’Myia Ann Marie Ellis and George Paul Wheeler who is expected to on April 4, 2024; siblings, Juanita (Bill) Schikora, Dotty (Wayne) Savage, Frank Guffey, Minnie Hendricks, Laura Clouser, along with many nieces, nephews and adopted children.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, son, Walter John Thomas Miller; siblings, John, Bill, Joann, Janice, Becky, Rebecca and Lois Jean; aunts, Dorothy and Bonnie.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Jason Doubles officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Galveston Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2-4 pm Thursday at the funeral home.



Deborah D. Rose

Deborah D. Rose, 73, gained her angel wings on March 22, 2024. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Debbie was born on June 17, 1950, in Kokomo, Indiana. On July 28, 1978, she married Michael D. Rose and he survives.

Debbie worked at Delco Electronics for 11 years. She then attended Indiana University of Kokomo to become a registered nurse. As Debbie followed her dream she worked at Community Howard Hospital, St. Joseph at Home and The Eye Institute. She enjoyed the beach, taking cruises with her daughters, spending time with her girlfriends in Brown County and spending time with family. Debbie will be dearly missed and always remembered.

In addition to her husband, Michael Rose, survivors include her children, Greg (Kim Marton) Harbaugh Jr., Carol (Brian) Hecht, Michelle (Randy) Gray and Jessica (Joe) Ealy; siblings Robert (Lou) Wilson, Brenda Rogers, and Shirley (David) Bowers; seven grandchildren, Charlotte, Haley, Brittany, Faith, Noah, Katelin, Isaac, and Gracie; and three great grandchildren, Mia, Amileah, and Grayson.

She was preceded in death by her mother, grandmother, and grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W Lincoln Rd, Kokomo, with Joyce Brooks officiating. Friends are invited to visit from 10 am until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org. Ray Charles Reece

Ray Charles Reece was born on September 28, 1959, and passed away on March 19, 2024.

A funeral service will be held for Mr. Reece on Sat., March 30, at 11 a.m., with visitation held at 10 a.m. The funeral will take place at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 818 N. Apperson Way, Kokomo, Ind.

Bluitt and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.



Nancy Lee Eads

Nancy Lee Eads, 85, of Kokomo, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born on March 14, 1939, the daughter of the late Chester and Helen (Russel) Coldren. On June 4, 1955, she married Donald Eugene Eads, and he survives.

Nancy retired after 28 years from Delco Electronics. She previously worked at Cuneo Press. Nancy enjoyed crocheting, reading, and loved animals. Nancy and Donald owned sprint cars and were at the races every weekend. She was the “boss of the sprint car operation”. Nancy was very adventurous and loved to travel with her family. They went to the opening of Walt Disney World in 1971. They traveled to 49 out of the 50 states and enjoyed going to Vegas.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Robert Dale (Paige) Eads, and Richard Eugene (Pauline) Eads; grandchildren, Chance Michael Eads, Todd Allen Eads, Jessica Marie Eads, Kyle Adam Eads, Amber Lynn McCurtain, and Paul Jacob McCurtain; several great – grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and dogs, Fifi, and Patchy.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Teresa Lynn Eads; brothers, Ronald Kent Coldren, and John Jeffrey Coldren; and sister, Emma Rose White.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Sunset Memory Garden Mausoleum, 2097 W. Alto Rd, Kokomo, with Jim Eads the Officiant.
