Frederick Raymond "Ray" Richmond, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024, in Kokomo, IN, at the age of 64. Born on December 30, 1959, in Ohio, to Nancy Kelly and Carl Richmond, Ray grew up in a bustling household filled with love and laughter, a foundation that would shape his entire life.

Ray's youthful spirit and joy for life were infectious to all who knew him. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, a time that instilled in him a sense of duty and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life. After his service, Ray spent many years as a dedicated truck driver, a job that suited his love for travel and meeting new people.

In his personal life, Ray was a beacon of love and humor. He married the love of his life, Tina, and together they created a family that was his pride and joy. His children April Richmond, Ashlee Sprinkle, and Tiffany Stotts were the light of his life, and he instilled in them the values of kindness, resilience, and humor. Ray's joy multiplied with the birth of his grandchildren, Vade, Contessa, Kadienne, Cali, Alyce, Demarcus, and Kaelynn, who will remember him as a playful and loving grandfather.

Ray's siblings Rusty, Luther Riddell, Billie Wilmoth, and Robin Strother will fondly recall his knack for storytelling and his ability to turn any gathering into a memorable event. His nieces, nephews, his cat "Sky," and a host of friends will miss his jokes and the warmth of his presence. A special friend, "His other Wife" Sheila Miles, will also cherish the unique bond they shared.

Those preceding him in death are infant twin boys, his parents, as well as his beloved Stepdad, Loren Strother, sister, Bonnie Stotts, brothers Robert Riddell, Charles Stotts, Jimmy Dunievent, and Paul Richmond.

An avid outdoorsman, Ray found solace in fishing and camping, where he could immerse himself in the tranquility of nature. His competitive spirit shone through in his love for playing Texas Hold'em, where he was known for his good-natured bluffing and the laughter that echoed around the table. Ray's sense of humor was unparalleled, and he had a natural talent for joking and aggravating people in the most endearing way.

Ray was a man who never knew a stranger, making friends wherever he went with his open heart and helping hands. He was always the first to offer assistance with any project, embodying the true spirit of community. His passion for working on cars was more than a hobby; it was a way for him to connect with others, share his knowledge, and lend a helping hand.

Those who knew Ray will remember him as caring, funny, and handy—the kind of person who could fix anything and always had a tool or a joke at the ready. His legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

As we say goodbye to Frederick Raymond "Ray" Richmond, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of joy, generosity, and an unquenchable zest for life.
