Richard Neal Smith
Richard Neal Smith, 84, Russiaville, passed away at 9:33 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born on June 12, 1940, to the late Paul E. and Dorothy L. (Jones) Smith. He married Diana Host on February 6, 1965, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, and she survives.
Richard graduated from Kokomo High School in 1960. He worked for Chrysler Corporation as a Forklift Operator and retired after 36 years of service. Richard was a member of St. Andrew’s Church. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, classic cars, craft shows, bowling, Western High School athletics, and his Euchre Club.
Along with his wife, Diana, Richard is survived by his children, Julie (Brian) Fife, and Brent (Tammy) Smith; grandchildren, Kylie Fife, Katelyn Fife, and Kinsey Smith; sisters-in-law, Lisa Pierce, Jannay Smith, Jackie Host, and Sherry Host; brothers-in-law, John Deardorff and Jeff Host; and many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Paul Smith Jr., Leonette Deardorff, and Thomas Smith; sisters-in-law, Teresa Branch, Jane Smith, and Lynn Gayken; brothers-in-law, Michael Host, Larry Host, and Robert Gayken; and in-laws, James & Ilene Host.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main Street, Russiaville, with Rev. Fr. Richard Lightsey officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. The service will be live streamed, and a link will be available at the bottom of his obituary page at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Prudence Anngelic Campbell
Prudence Anngelic Campbell, 53, of Peru, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, August 11, 2024, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. She is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born November 27, 1970, in Logansport, the daughter of Wm (Bill) Campbell and Nancy (Johnson) Campbell.
Prudence was a 1990 graduate of Lewis Cass High School. She worked as a home health caregiver and at Winn Dixie in Florida. She spent 18 years in Florida before returning to Indiana in 2018. She adored all her family and could tell you all their birthdays and special events as she had a gift for remembering dates.
Special thanks to Aperion Estates Peru for the love and care she received from the staff and other residents there. She loved being a part of the community.
Surviving family include brothers: Ed (Jane) Campbell of Logansport, Matthew Campbell of Kokomo, and Don (Shirley) Campbell of Warsaw, NY. Surviving Uncles include Tom Johnson of Cortez, CO and Caspar Johnson of Forest, IN. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews: Brett, Kennedy, Dakota, Makenna, Madison, Taylor and Grant Campbell.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jonathan.

Samuel (Sam) Wayne Gentry, Jr.
Samuel (Sam) Wayne Gentry, Jr., 44, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on August 4, 2024. He was born on April 6, 1980, in Elkhorn City, Kentucky, son to Samuel Wayne Gentry, Sr. and Tommel Lynn (Rowe) Gentry. They both preceded him in death.
Sam loved fishing, drawing, tattooing and getting tattooed. He did many of his own tattoos.
He is survived by his brother, David Gentry; stepbrother, Billy (Christina) Burden; stepsister, Tiffany (Steven) Finnell; and stepfather, Darrell (Penny) Burden along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins in Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.
