James "Jim" Franklin Alley

James "Jim" Franklin Alley, 79, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away September 11, 2024. He was born on February 1, 1945, in Kokomo, IN, the son of Loren B. and Geraldine (Kelly) Alley. He married Charlotte "Rae" (Hall) Alley who survives. He was a Radio Repairman at Delco Electronics for 34 years. Jim loved making model airplanes. He was a HAM radio operator, avid gun collector, and a proud member of the NRA. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Rae; children, Christian R. Borosky, Leslie (Jeremy) Jones; grandchildren, Carsen Korrinn, Cheyenne Paige; great-grandchildren, Adalyn Rene, Lillith Marie.

Visitation will take place from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center. Christine D. Bousum

Christine D. Bousum, 46, Kokomo, passed away at 1:46 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born on October 24, 1977, to Willian R. and Debra A. (Kuhn) Bousum.

Christine graduated from Kokomo High School in 1996. She worked for Apple Tree Realty as their receptionist. She enjoyed helping her sister and brother-in-law with their business, Grissom Maze of Terror. Christine loved attending her daughter’s events and academic award ceremonies. She also enjoyed watching crime and medical TV shows. Christine fought valiantly for two years to come back from a devastating accident.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Carleigh Feldhouse; mother, Debra Bousum; companion, Robert Feldhouse; sister, Tiffany (Jacob) Rodabaugh; niece & nephew, Ryleigh and Brady Grant; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, William; and grandparents, R. Earl & Dora Bousum, and Robert & Carolyn Kuhn.

A funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor James Bradley officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. A private family entombment will take place in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery at a later date. William “Bill” Wiley Mann

William “Bill” Wiley Mann, 89, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away September 8, 2024. He was born on August 15, 1935, in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of Lester and Eva Mann (Cash). On February 6, 1960, he married Katharine Mann (Canard) who survives.

Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served his active-duty time in Germany. His U.S. Army experience remained a treasured memory for him throughout his life. He retired from Haynes International after 40 years of service. Bill enjoyed coaching Little League and playing softball and basketball. Visitors to his home would often be compelled to play pitch and catch with him. He wasn’t one to “sit around” and chat much.

Above all, Bill shared his love for Jesus with fellow members of the Courtland Avenue Church of Christ for over 60 years. His gentle encouragement to others and his constantly pleasant attitude helped unnumbered folks through their struggles. His smile was ever-present and infectious.

He will be remembered as a loving and supportive father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

Bill is survived by his wife, Katharine Mann of Kokomo, IN; two sons, David Mann (Susan) of Brownsburg, IN. Don Mann (Mary) of Kokomo. IN; grandchildren, Alex Mann, Katharyn Mann, Valerie Mann; and William Mann (Melissa). great grandchildren, Aria Becraft and Abel James Peace.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.

John William Thomas

John William Thomas, 71, Russiaville, passed away at 9:29 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2024, at his home. He was born on May 8, 1953, to the late George Albert and Katherine (Nutter) Thomas. On October 24, 1992, at the First Baptist Church in Russiaville, he married Sandra “Sandy” O’Neal, and she survives.

John graduated from Kokomo High School in 1971. He worked for Charles C. Brandt Construction as a carpenter for 32 years before retiring. He was a history buff especially when it came to WWII. He enjoyed fishing, camping, classical music, bird watching, gardening, and landscaping.

Along with his wife Sandy, John is survived by their children, Zachary (Elisha) Thomas, Adam Thomas, and Jesse (Tessa) Thomas; siblings, Susan (Mitch) Gibson, and George M. Thomas; several nieces & nephews; and all his special work friends at Charles C. Brandt Construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy.

Jerry Lee King

Jerry Lee King, 72, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away September 10, 2024. He was born February 11, 1952, in Jackson County, Kentucky, to Daniel Robert and Telitha Margaret Baldwin King.

Born in the hills of Jackson County, Kentucky, his quick wit, generosity, patriotism, and love of God was shown through helping family, friends, and even strangers that will never be forgotten.

Choosing a trade at an early age by helping his older brothers, he went on to become a Journeyman Electrician. Starting his career of 50-plus years at D&M in Connersville, later working for Ford in Connersville, and was currently employed at Stellantis in Kokomo

He enjoyed the great outdoors, traveling the country to visit family, and hunting trips with his sons.

Jerry is survived by his children, Robert (Andrea) King of Brandon Manitoba, Canada; Leslie Bailey of Connersville, IN; Karen Riggins (the late Andy Riggins) of Six Mile, SC; Jonathan (Maggie) King of Kokomo, IN; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Stuart) Bruce; Victoria (Michael) Zacharias; Isabelle King (Paige Donald); Sophia King (Andrew Morrison); Alexandria King; Jacob (Emily) Bailey; Austin Bailey; Cameron Bailey; Marenda; Rylee; AJ; Saige and Larissa Riggins; great grandchildren, Callan; Beckham and Cameryn Bailey; brothers, Brad (Jolene) King of Florida; Thomas (Geraldine) King of Connersville, James (Shirley) King of Florida; sister, Mary (Dale) Przybyl of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Spankie.

Jerry was preceded in death by brothers Donald King, infant Ray King, Bobby Joe King; sisters, Bertha Bennett, Joyce Hope, Judy Hall, Rinda Mays, Jeanette Collins, and his cat Andy.

Visitation will be 12:00 - 4:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center. Courtney Renee Enyart

Courtney Renee Enyart went to be with the Lord, and baby Noah, in the Heavenly home He prepared for her, on August 31, 2024.

Courtney was born to Terry (Peggy) Hopper and Danielle (Robin) Manriquez in 1993. Her parents survive along with Nicholas Enyart, her husband of eight and a half years. Nicholas and Courtney had three children together, Nicholas, Jr., Noah (deceased), and Madilynn.

Courtney's many siblings include, Terence Jr. Hopper, Jacob (Jamie) Hopper, Kayla Decker, Curtis (Lisa) Hopper, Krystal (Kevin) Wullschleger, Caitlyn (Patrick Hessenius) Hopper, Craig Nutt, Cale (Maria) Nutt, and Evyn Manriquez.

Also surviving are grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Courtney attended elementary school at St. John's Lutheran School in Peru, and Peru Community Schools after that. Growing up, she participated in gymnastics, cheerleading, baton twirling, and circus.

Courtney was a homemaker who stayed home and cared for her children, however; Courtney took pride in serving others previously as a waitress locally at Gabriel's and especially at Harvey Hinklemeyer’s, because it was the business that her grandparents, Richard and Connie McConahay created and built.

Courtney's greatest passion was her children, Nicholas and Madilynn. She was a great mother and devoted all of her time and attention to them. She will be greatly missed by them and all that loved her dearly.

Please join us in celebrating the beloved life of Courtney on Saturday, September 21, 2024, with a gathering of friends and family from 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. and a memorial service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Vince Darland, all at Chapel Ministries Outreach, 6910 N 1050 E, Denver, Indiana.

Jon F. McCleary

Jon F. McCleary, 72, Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Kokomo, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent, Kokomo. He was born July 30, 1952, in Peru, IN, to John and Naomi (Kenworthy) McCleary.

Jon was an accomplished musician and had a true love for life. He will be remembered for his love of people, family, and friends, as well as his positive attitude. Jon enjoyed time spent outdoors whether hunting, fishing, or hiking. He spent the last 15 years in southwest Florida, enjoying retirement and the many friendships he made there.

He is survived by his sons, Derek McCleary, Matthew McCleary, and Sean (Brittany) McCleary; grandchildren, Dane McCleary, Conor McCleary, and Crew McCleary; as well as a sister, Jane Heltzel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim McCleary; and sister, Julie Arnold.
