Diana Voiles
Diana Voiles, 77, of Kokomo, passed away at her home at 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024. She was born April 25, 1947, in Rushville, to Charles and Margaret (Christman) Pavey. On December 26, 1966, she married Don Voiles, in Rushville, and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2015.
Diana graduated from Rushville High School and earned an associate’s degree from Indiana Business College. She worked as secretary for St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for over 40 years. Diana was an amazing cook and cooked dinner for her family of six for over 20 years. She had a green thumb and was always working in the yard, and she enjoyed organizing events for friends and planned regular trips for dinner and a show at Beef-n-Boards. She was very active in the church and was a member of the Sunshine Club and Card Club and sang in the choir and was the first person to volunteer to support the ministries of the church. She had also been a member of the Cedar Crest Bowling League as well as various other bowling leagues.
Survivors include her children, Brian Voiles, Karen Voiles, and David (Jen) Voiles; daughter-in-law, Janci Voiles; grandchildren, Aubrie (Taylor) Mealer, Krysta (Collin) Cornelis, Mason Voiles, and Ben Voiles; great-grandchildren, Thea, Onyx and Odin Mealer, and Oliver Cornelius.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and son, Micheal Voiles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3155 S. 200 W., Kokomo. Burial will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday in Calvary Cemetery in Rushville. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo. where a Scripture Service will be held at 7 p.m. Contributions may be made in Diana’s memory to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
