Richard Leon Campbell
Richard Leon Campbell, 83, Kokomo, passed away at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. He was born August 25, 1941, in Stanford, to the late Robert and Virginia (Sparks) Campbell. He married Barbara Britton in Ellettsville on October 17, 1959, and she preceded him in death on December 13, 2022.
Richard graduated from Ellettsville High School in 1959 and attended Indiana University. He served his country with the United States Army from 1959-1962. He was a Sales Representative for Simonton Windows; he retired in 2006 after 13 years of service. He was a member of Bon Air Nazarene Church, Rotary Club, YMCA, community council at Grissom, and chairman of United Way. Richard was a fan of I.U. and the Chicago Cubs.
Richard is survived by his children, Rick Campbell, Marybeth Campbell, and Steve (Jill) Campbell; grandchildren, Bobby (Mary) Campbell, Ricky Campbell, Angela Campbell, Alison (Noah) Pashley, Kyle (Amanda) Gann, Nathan (Jessica) Campbell, and Megan Walden; 13 great-grandchildren, and one on the way; siblings, Carolyn Burge, and Connie Chandler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; granddaughter, Jennifer Campbell; and brother-in-law, Allen Burge.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Burial will follow in Albright Cemtery with military honors provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team. Friends are invited to visit the family from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bon Air Nazarene Church. Cody Corbin Sallee
Cody Corbin Sallee, age 31, of Tipton, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
Cody was born on August 28, 1993, to his parents, Jerry Orville Sallee Jr. and Laurie Ann Hood. He attended Tipton High School and graduated in the class of 2011. Cody had worked for the Craft Beer distribution company in Indianapolis, and really enjoyed his job.
Cody was a kindhearted, gentle spirited person. He was someone who always made others feel welcome and accepted. His demeanor was typically quiet, but his actions of care for those around him spoke volumes of the man he was. Cody was incredibly dependable for his loved ones and could usually make his family laugh. In Cody’s spare time you may have found him gaming or cooking. He had also recently become a skilled blacksmith. More than anything, Cody enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed beyond measure!
Those left to carry on Cody’s legacy of love are his father, Jerry Orville Sallee Jr.; siblings, Chloe Sallee, Caiden McNew, Allan McNew; grandparents, Jerry & Brenda Sallee; great grandma, Lucille Lorenz; aunt, Angela (Edward) Faubert; cousins, Karissa Jones, Wyatt Jones; ex-wife and friend, Elizabeth “Biz” Bates; best friend, Jack Mattingly; many great aunts, uncles, cousins; and beloved cat, Jaz.
Cody was preceded in death by his mother, Laurie Hood; and great grandparents, Orville & Celestine Sallee.
Out of respect for Cody’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
