Donna Lynn Conatser
Donna Lynn Conatser, 58, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born December 26, 1966, in Kokomo, daughter of Parnell and Patricia Conatser. She was engaged to her partner of 19 years, Eric Shawn Foust, who preceded her in death January of 2024.
Donna graduated from Kokomo High School in 1985 and attended cosmetology school. She was an auto worker for Stellantis. Donna was a proud mother and grandmother. She loved her family and friends very much and had a very special bond with her grandson, Jaxon. Donna was adventurous, had a great sense of humor, and always was a joy to be around. She loved the beach, canoeing, riding RZRs, and drag racing. Donna was an animal lover and had several cherished fur-babies over the years, Ellie Mae and TC who preceded her in death and Hazel and Gracen who survive and were with her when she passed.
She is survived by her sons Neil (Jane) Conroy and Michael (fiancé Samantha Smith) Conroy, grandchildren Marlana Smith and Jaxon Conroy, great-grandchildren Amileo Cannon Pablo, Amira Cannon Pablo, and Braelinn Cannon, sister Teresa (W. Scott) Conatser Fayna, brother Steven (Robin Burtnett) Conatser, and her best friend Kimberly Conroy.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Parnell and Patricia Conatser.
A funeral service celebrating Donna’s life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 5 p.m., at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home – Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo. Manon Boggs
Manon Boggs, 80, of Greentown, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. He was born June 6, 1944, in Hyden, KY, to the late Charlie and Mae Boggs.
He married Sondra Butcher, and together they raised two children Gary and Rebekah. Manon enjoyed fishing during his free time, but his favorite activity was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and considered them a second family.
Manon is survived by his children Gary (Nancy) Boggs and Rebekah (Jarrod) Mason, grandchildren Erica (Tony) Dunson, Jesaka (Gabe) Rudd, Bradley (Emily) Boggs, KayLynn (Andrew) Pustai, Mason Shaffer, Madix Miller, and Kohlton Jones, great-grandchildren Nolan Taylor, Delani Rudd, Scarlett Rudd, Luca Russell, Burke Boggs, Denver Boggs, Grace Boggs, Kiersten Dunson, and Kenlea Dunson, brothers Charles (Mae) Boggs Jr. and Warnnie Gene Boggs, sisters-in-law Ann Baker and Pam Boggs, 19 nieces, and 12 nephews.
In addition to his parents, Manon is preceded in death by his wife Sondra Boggs, son Jimmie Lee Boggs, and siblings Boone Boggs, Lonnie Boggs, Johnny Boggs, Hayes Boggs, Stanley Boggs, Denver Boggs, Harvey Baker, Dennis Baker, Barbara Davis, and Lois Wells.
A visitation for Manon will be held Monday, April 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.
James “Jimbo” Durward Rayl
James “Jimbo” Durward Rayl, 58, Kokomo, passed away at 12:51 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025, at his home. He was born in Akron, OH, on March 16, 1967, the son of James “Jim” Lee and Nancy A. (Ousley) Rayl. He married Laurie Moss at Grace UMC in Kokomo, on December 31, 1998, and she survives.
Jimbo graduated from Kokomo High School in 1985 and attended Indiana Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) where he was on the basketball team. He also attended Ball State University. He retired from the UPS after 30 years of service and was currently working as an Insurance Agent for State Farm at the Brian Cossell Agency. Jimbo was instrumental in bringing Orange Leaf to Kokomo. He was also a co-owner. Jimbo also owned a small business called Flip Flask with a friend. He enjoyed Door Dashing, and he was proud of achieving Platinum Status. Jimbo was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed F1 racing, Indy Car racing, watching the Cubs, and Purdue basketball. He was on the Board of Directors for the Kokomo Bobkats organization, and he was a huge fan of Indiana high school basketball. Jimbo was a regular at the Kokomo YMCA and made his acting debut in the classic movie Hoosiers.
Along with his wife Laurie Rayl, James is survived by his children Jace Rayl and Rhys Rayl, mother Nancy Rayl, siblings Ginger (Roger Houghton) Rayl and Tom Rayl, nieces & nephews Nancy Fortin, Thomas Fortin, Anna Rayl, Marianne Moss, and Michael Moss, brother-in-law Brad (Elizabeth) Moss, mother-in-law Barbara Moss, and father-in-law Larry Moss.
He was preceded in death by his father Jim Rayl and brother Tim Rayl.
A funeral service celebrating James’ life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Crossroads Community Church, 4254 S 00 EW, Kokomo, with Mark Malin officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the church. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
