Scott Douglas Larmer

Scott Douglas Larmer embarked on his final journey on June 4, 2025, in Rochester, Indiana. Born on January 21, 1967, to Douglas Larmer and Joyce Wolf Tranbarger.

Scott's life was split between Kokomo and south Florida, where he had adventures that would later fuel his legendary storytelling. Scott attended Haworth High School's class of 1985, where he likely spent as much time sketching in his notebooks as he did paying attention in class.

Scott leaves behind his wife Nicki Whiteman Larmer, his sons Jacob Larmer (Kimberly) and Noah Larmer, his daughters Jocelyn Larmer (her significant other Vinny) and Abby Hizer (Tre), and his siblings Zac Larmer (Sarah) and Laronda Larmer-Wood. Scott had nothing but love for his grandchildren Zavier, Mia, Laila, Tyson, Daxton, Kacen, and Capri. Scott also leaves behind his nieces he adored, Arianna and Gianna, his nephews he was proud of, Dalton and Brandon, and his step-family, the Tranbargers.

Though he lost his mother early in life, Scott gained two more loving figures, Diane Robinson and Jean Wolfe, who helped shape the man he became.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Bill and Jeanette Cessna, and his infant son Bailey.

To say Scott loved to surf is an understatement. More than once, he headed to the Atlantic Ocean during a hurricane to catch the waves. His guitar was never far from reach, and his love for music was only matched by those he loved. When he wasn’t rebuilding motorcycles where his loyalty stood with Harley-Davidson, he worked as a carpenter.

As we bid farewell to Scott Douglas Larmer, let's not say goodbye. Instead, let's crank up the tunes, catch a wave, and celebrate a hard life well-lived.

His family invites you to celebrate his life on Sunday July 6, 2025, at the American Legion (2604 S. Lafountain, Kokomo) from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
