Jerry L. Daniels

Jerry L. Daniels, 83, of Fishers, IN, passed away quietly with his family by his side on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Ernestine M. Raclin House, listening to the St. Joe River and a fisherman in the background. He was born October 27, 1941, in Delphi, Indiana, to Joseph K. Daniels and Irene Garner. He was a 1959 graduate of Delphi-Deer Creek Township High School. Jerry continued his education at Indiana State University with Bachelor’s Degree in music education. He also held a Master’s Degree earned during his first years as a band director.

After many years as a band director, Jerry still worked with schools and nonprofit organizations in fundraising. He started a family business — Custom Services — in Syracuse, IN. He had a unique business relationship with School City of Mishawaka and enjoyed hosting an annual golf outing for principals for many years. Jerry and Beverly retired from their family business, Custom Services, as the business owner and manager with many years of service.

After retirement they moved to Florida where he and Beverly spent many years hosting children and grandchildren at their beautiful home on the water. They also enjoyed entertaining family and friends with the many “unique eats” or local restaurants in the area. He loved taking family out on the boat to enjoy the gulf coast or fishing. Always the music lover, Jerry also enjoyed concerts at various venues with Beverly and friends. He entertained family and friends with stories about past adventures as a child entertainer and his band at Indiana State University which ALWAYS included his being named campus “bachelor of the year.”

Jerry married his beautiful wife Beverly on May 26, 1965, and enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Jerry missed her dearly after she preceded him in death on April 10, 2023. During this time, listening to a CD of his band The Four Hearts and sharing his music with guests brought him some comfort. Also preceding Jerry in death were his parents Joseph K. Daniels and Irene Garner.

Jerry is survived by his three children: son Ron (wife Laura) Daniels of Emerald Isle, N.C., and their children Adam (wife Emily) Daniels and their daughter Isla, Sydney (husband Michael) Fries and their daughters Kinsley and Nora, and Jordan Daniels (husband Ollie) and daughter Everly; daughter Shelly (husband Tim) Sparrow of Mishawaka, IN, and their three children Shane Sparrow, Leigha Hickey (husband Joe), and Vincent Sparrow; and daughter Sherry Lynch of Fishers, IN, and three children Meghan (husband Carter) Barnes and their daughter Birdie and son Beckett, Hayden Lynch, and Ethan Lynch. He is also survived by his dog Ricky.
