We announce with heartfelt sorrow the passing of Orlandis Marcel Brown, born on June 11, 1966, who departed this life on June 27, 2025.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Refreshing Springs Church of God in Christ, located at 3112 Easy St., Kokomo, IN 46902.

- Visitation: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

- Funeral Service: Begins promptly at 11:00 AM

For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live streamed to allow family and friends near and far to honor his life and legacy.

Elmer Richard Byers

Elmer Richard Byers, 92, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on June 30, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1932, in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of William E. and Wilhelmina (Phipps) Byers. He married Kathleen Byers, who survives.

Elmer loved reading his Bible and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church before becoming a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 72 years Kathy, daughter Myra McCain, sister, Opal Hartman, and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, daughters Teresa Shelton, Melody Spaulding, Pamela Frakes, Penny Byers, Candy Seigal, and Nancy Pyke, and siblings Ruby Bush, Myrtle Hartman, Anna Bragg, and William Byers.

Visitation will take place from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer 705 E. Southway Blvd., Kokomo, Indiana 46902.
