Larry Randolph
Larry Randolph, age 83, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025. He was born April 11, 1942, in Kokomo, Indiana, to William and Vitula (Hudson) Randolph. He attended and graduated from Kokomo High School and went on to work for and retire from Chrysler. He enjoyed a wide variety of activities. He loved doing puzzles, word searches, and making hand-crafted bead work in custom Indian designs and personal inspirational designs. He also loved dressing in pre-1800 attire and camping in the same era style with family and friends at the Trail of Courage, Redbud.
Larry was very active and involved in his community. He worked as the Indian Heights Volunteer Fire Department's Assistant Chief, as well as an arson investigator for Howard County. He was a member of the Fulton County Museum, Sipokni West Gunfighter Actors, and the ME-TO-CIN-YAH Longrifles. He was a Boy Scout and Eagle Scout. Larry was also very passionate about his faith in God and his family. He was a member of the Rock Harbor Church in Oklahoma, as well as a Deacon for the Northgrove Church in Miami County, Indiana. He will be missed and remembered by people all across the country. He never met a stranger.
Surviving family includes his children Michael Randolph (Michelle Morrow), Shanon Sharrock, Russell Randolph (Cara Randolph), and Dominick Moore, grandchildren William Randolph, Cyndi Randolph, Shoal Sharrock, Shea Sharrock, Jeffery Randolph, Michel Smith, and Aaron Randolph, sisters-in-law Ava Ogden and Joyce Mooney, great-grandnephew Brett Randolph (Laura Randolph), as well as six great-grandkids and one great-great-grandkid.
Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother William & Vitula Randolph, his wife Bonnie (Mooney) Randolph, brothers Richard Randolph and Jack Randolph, son-in-law Michael Sharrock, and multiple in-laws, mentioning in remembrance Rick Abresch, Larry's best friend and mentor, as well as Mickie Abresch, Rick's loving wife.
A visitation for Larry will be held Friday, July 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, IN 46902, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Larry will be laid to rest at Albright Cemetery, 3910 Albright Road, immediately following the funeral service.
Everett Dale Carter
Everett Dale Carter, 96, Valparaiso, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at AVIVA Valparaiso Assisted Living. He was born in Russiaville on May 10, 1929, to the late Oakley and Delta (Smith) Carter. He married the love of his life, Letitia "Tish” (Hite) Carter, in Kokomo on August 11, 1957, and she preceded him in death on April 18, 2019.
Dale worked for Lorentson Manufacturing in Kokomo as a Mold Maker. His faith in God was very important to Dale. He participated in multiple roles at the churches he attended throughout his life. He adored his wife, and they enjoyed time spent together gardening, traveling, and especially time with family. Dale had a fun-loving spirit that was contagious. His greatest accomplishment was loving others. He enjoyed sharing the joy that he had in his heart and making others smile. His best quality was being a loving husband and wonderful father.
Dale is survived by his daughters Susan (Brian) Sewell, Deborah (Roland) Rohrer, and Cheryl Wallace, daughter-in-law Margie (Brown) Carter, sister Mary Taylor, sister-in-law Carolyn Carter, brother-in-law Wilfred (Nancy) Fox, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Letitia Carter, son Joe Carter, son-in-law Robert Henke, and siblings Merle (Rheba) Carter, Esther Carter, John (Phyllis) Carter, Paul Carter, Lewis Taylor, and Gladys Fox.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dale’s name to Dunes Hospice, 4711 Evans Ave., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, IN 46979. A funeral service celebrating Dale’s life will begin 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Sewell officiating. Burial will follow in New London Cemetery. Cornellia Gordon
Cornellia Gordon, age 89, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. She was born on April 5, 1936, in Clearmont, Illinois, to Delta Everett and Lena Myrtle (Shinn) Holloway. She was the eighth of 12 children. She moved to Kokomo when she was five years old and lived in Kokomo the rest of her life. She attended Columbian grade school and Kokomo High School. On November 9, 1952, she married Tilford J. Arnett. They had four children. Tilford passed away in January of 1978 during the blizzard of '78, the result of an automobile accident. On April 5, 1985, she married Gerald Gordon who passed away on November 9, 2017.
Surviving are her two daughters Lucy Ellen (the late Ed) Bishop of Kokomo and Cathy Jo (Thomas) Boyle of Port Charlotte, FL, grandchildren Crystal (Timothy) Delello of Ohio, Patrick (Robin) Boyle, Bonnie (Robert) Rooney, Gary (Charity) Boyle, Elizabeth (Jacob) Sickmond, Peter (Brittany) Boyle, and Andrew (Elisabeth) Boyle, all of Florida, three step-grandchildren Troy Bishop, Kimberly Bailey, and Tamara (John) Dees, all of Indiana, 41 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and brother Danny Joe Holloway of Munster, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands Tilford J. Arnett Sr. and Gerald "Jerry" Gordon, beautiful daughter Bonnie Sue Arnett in 1977, and wonderful son Tilford J. Arnett Jr. in 2006. Also preceding her in death were her parents, seven sisters Faye Catterton, Clara Bowman, Christine White, Eva Wright, Roberta Ralph, Evelyn Barnett, and Lucy Ellen Holloway, and three brothers Robert Holloway, Charlie Holloway, and Billy Holloway.
Cornellia was a landlady and managed her farm since 1962. She worked at McClellan’s 5 and 10 cent store right out of high school, then Delco Electronics for 10 years before quitting to raise her family, her most rewarding job. She was happiest when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit. She loved entertaining with Christmas open house and family dinners at her house. She loved flowers and gardening, also writing and receiving letters, a dying art. She loved animals. If a stray made their way to her farm, they had a good home for life.

A public visitation for Cornellia will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. A funeral service will occur at 2:00 PM officiated by her oldest grandson Pastor Patrick Allen Boyle. Entombment will follow.
Phillip Eugene Royce
Phillip Eugene Royce, age 77, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Phillip was born in South Bend, IN.
A funeral service for Phillip will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902, followed by a visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
William "Billy" Tharp
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William "Billy" Tharp, who left us on July 13, 2025, just two days shy of his 70th birthday. A free spirit, adventurer, and devoted family member, Billy embraced life fully and lived with an open heart.
Born to Joy Ann Duvall and the late William Tharp, Billy was the cherished only son in his family.
Billy was a loving and steadfast brother to Suzanne (Ronnie) Davis, Julie Tharp, Jennifer Murphy, and Stephanie Duval. His relationship with his sisters was filled with laughter, deep connection, and unwavering support. He was always there with a helping hand or a listening ear, and his presence brought warmth and strength to the family.
As a grandfather, Billy brought immense joy to the lives of his grandchildren Ava Mayhew, Mia Mayhew, Harlynn Mayhew, and Able Cooper. He delighted in their growth, shared in their adventures, and was a constant source of love, laughter, and support.
A passionate motorcyclist, Billy found peace and freedom on the open road. His love of travel, new experiences, and meaningful connections with others reflected his adventurous soul and generous spirit.
He was preceded in death by his father William Tharp, his beloved sister Mary Shaw, his son Harley Mayhew, and his infant granddaughter Harley Jean Mayhew, each of whom he held dearly in his heart.
While we deeply mourn his passing, we also celebrate the life he lived, a life rich with love, courage, kindness, and unforgettable stories. His legacy will live on in the memories we hold, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
A memorial service celebrating Billy’s life will begin at 12 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, IN 46902.
