Steven Kent Ironmonger

Steven Kent Ironmonger, known affectionately to all as Steve, embarked on his final adventure on July 25, 2025. Born on September 22, 1954, in Tipton, Indiana, Steve's zest for life and infectious humor touched everyone he met. He passed away in Indianapolis, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and the open road.

Steve was the cherished son of Martha (Shuck) and Robert Ironmonger, who preceded him in death along with his son Josh Ironmonger and brother Jeff Ironmonger. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 22 years Lucinda "Cindy" Ironmonger, his adoring daughters Wendy Weathers (Tyrell), Ashlee Tyler, Jessica Knudsen (Bobby), his son James Tyler (Jenny), and a troupe of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the apple of his eye: Jamie, Sanaa, Skyler, Gabe, Mason, Brayden, Hunter, Keaton, Gage, and Hadley.

A proud graduate of Taylor High School class of 1972, Steve wasted no time in serving his country, enlisting in the United States Army immediately after graduation. His military service was a point of pride and a testament to his selfless and courageous spirit. After his service, Steve's career journey led him through various management positions in factories and environmental clean-up, where his leadership was as much about boosting morale as it was about getting the job done.

Steve's interests were as expansive as the highways he loved to ride. His Harley wasn't just a motorcycle; it was his pride and joy, a steel steed for a modern-day knight. Together with Cindy, they traversed the country, their laughter echoing over the roar of the engine. A fan of NASCAR and a lover of beach sunrises, Steve knew the value of the finish line as well as the beauty of a new day.

To say Steve was a jokester would be an understatement. He was the life of every party, a man who could find humor in the mundane and turn a frown upside down with the ease of a seasoned comedian. His love for his family was as unconditional as it was uproarious, and his legacy is one of joy and generosity.

Steve was adventurous in life, and his stories will continue to inspire chuckles and chortles for generations to come. His absence will be felt deeply, but the echoes of his laughter will resonate forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

So here's to Steve Ironmonger, a man who lived life in the fast lane but always had time for a pit stop with friends and family. Ride on, Steve, into that great sunset in the sky, and know that down here, your memory will keep us all smiling, mile after mile.
