Linda A. Spicer
Linda A. Spicer, 84, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:28 a.m., on August 2, 2025, at Silver Creek Inn Memory Care Community in Arizona. She was born on March 23, 1941, in Mishawaka, IN, the daughter of Howard Dean Bolerjack and Alberta Marie (Selis) Arehart. She married John Adrian Spicer at St. Patrick Catholic Church, who preceded her in death on September 18, 2019.
She graduated Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree and went on to earn her Master’s degree. Linda was a Taylor Titan throughout her entire career. She taught high school English at Taylor High School and was active in starting the Taylor newspaper. Linda continued in her career at Taylor and became the middle school guidance counselor.
Linda was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and Phi Beta Psi Sorority. She loved her church and her Taylor family. She helped start the Howard County School Federal Credit Union. Linda was dedicated to her family.
Linda is survived by her son Jon Kyle (Wilaiporn) Donelson; granddaughters Lindsay (Michael) Fore and Courtney Donelson; brother Dan (Mary Spencer) Bolerjack; brother-in-law Chuck Gruber; and five great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband John, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister Paula Gruber.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 N. Washington Street, Kokomo. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
