Wilma R. Earnheart, Gayla Dawn Lemke, Terry Lee Reed Sr.

Wilma R. Earnheart

Wilma R. Earnheart, 82, Kokomo, passed away at 10:45 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025. She was born in Lafollette, TN, on September 22, 1943, the daughter of the late Carnus Taylor and Edna Bonnie (Pyle) Parker. On December 22, 1964, she married Willis F. Earnheart, and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2016.

Wilma took pride in her home and raising her family. She loved traveling and taking the motorcycle out with Willis. They were members of the Goldwing Riders Association. Wilma’s faith was very important to her, and she attended church with Willis. She enjoyed playing Euchre, Trouble, Yahtzee, Uno, and cooking and baking. She loved gardening. She took pride in her flowers and veggies.

Wilma is survived by her son Joe Earnheart; grandsons Brock Earnheart, Garrett Earnheart, Jake Earnheart, Anthony Earnheart, Zach Preston, and Adam Earnheart; sisters Anna Mae Rutledge, Mary McKoon, and Bonnie Parker; brother Robert Earl Parker; several nieces & nephews; and good friends Diane Osbourne and Ron Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons David Earnheart and Anthony Earnheart, brother Carnus Parker, and sister Linda Parker.

A funeral service celebrating Wilma’s life will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home - Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo, with Pastor Toph Elkins officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Gayla Dawn Lemke

Gayla Dawn Lemke, born in Knox, Indiana, to Clyde Gale and Anna Voreis, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 11 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Gayla devoted her life to caring for others as a surgical nurse, serving at both St. Joe Hospital and Howard Community Surgery Center during her career. Her faith was central to her life. She was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she joyfully taught Sunday school and led Vacation Bible School.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Jim Lemke, who cared for her tenderly until the very end; daughters Julie Klepinger (Tony) and Jackie Weaver (Rick); and her cherished grandchildren Reese and Reagan Klepinger, and Cali, Mya, and Adeline Weaver. Gayla is also survived by her siblings Gerri Voreis and Gary Voreis.

Gayla found joy in decorating, collecting antiques, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her warmth, kindness, and devotion to family and faith will be remembered forever.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran School or Kokomo Rescue Mission. There will be a time of visitation for Gayla on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 705 East Southway Blvd., Kokomo, IN 46902. Pastor John Dreyer will be officiating. Burial will follow to Albright Cemetery.

Terry Lee Reed Sr.

Terry Lee Reed Sr., 79 years old, of Kokomo, passed away 6:11 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. He was born on May 2, 1946, in Kokomo, IN. On September 7, 1971, he married Virginia Ann Meyers, and she preceded him in death on October 16, 2024.

Terry formerly worked for the City of Kokomo in the City Sanitation Department. He was passionate about fishing, and he attended Pilgrim Holiness Church in Kokomo.

He is survived by his children Scott Reed, Terry (Cristy) Lee Reed Jr., Christopher Dwight Reed, Diana Morris, Matthew (Trish) Reed, and Steven Reed; brothers Mark (Carol) Reed, Rex Reed, and Roger Dale Reed; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a few cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son Charles “Chuck” Fredrick Sanders, grandson Arthur Reed, siblings Phyllis, Doug, and DJ (Margaret) Reed, and brother-in-law Chuck Meyers.
