Stephen “Steve” Floyd Johnson
Stephen “Steve” Floyd Johnson, 69, Russiaville, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his home. He was born on October 10, 1956, to the late Sterling and Doris (Evans) Johnson. On September 1, 1989, he married Judith “Judi” Pearson, and she survives.
Steve graduated from Western High School in 1975. He was the owner and operator of Johnson Body Shop since 1986 and often told people he was the “owner of a downtown business district of New London.” He was a member of the Russiaville Volunteer Fire Department for 29 years, and the Gas City Ducktail Run for 28 years. He enjoyed attending and watching car shows, plowing snow, and cutting firewood. Steve enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a fan of Martin Truex Jr. He helped on the farm when he was little with his grandpa Evans. He loved playing with his grandkids all the time; he got a kick out of calling Noah and Jonah, pickle heads and Harper Doodles.
Along with his wife Judi, Steve is survived by his children Breann (Tim) Friar and Danielle (Brian) Hammond; grandchildren Makayla, James, Stephen, Noah, Jonah, Peyton, Reagan, and Harper; siblings Kathy Parker, Karen Collins, and Kelly (Donnie) Parvin; friends Brad Hardebeck, Junior Dunlap, Linda Ray, Carl Collins, Chad O’Neal, Matt Scott, Darrell Mote, John Braun, Jeff Gaylor, and Rodney “the shop cat.”
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Denny Parker.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E Main St., Russiaville. Hubert “Max” Henderson
Hubert “Max” Henderson was born on December 23, 1928, to Hubert Leroy and Frieda Margarite (Ellabarger) Henderson and passed away on November 12, 2025. He married his high school sweetheart Frances Jane Hawkins on January 21, 1950, and they shared 75 years together. Max graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1947 and attended Purdue University for a time. From an early age, Max demonstrated a passion for agriculture. He became a lifelong farmer in Tipton County. He also spent much of his lifetime on the family farm in the Texas panhandle.
In early childhood, Max would ride the combine in a wooden box beside his father in the dusty Texas wheat fields. He quickly became adept and preferred to operate the machinery himself. After his brother Tom settled into the Texas farm operation, he continued to travel out to assist with wheat harvest. Max worked at John Deere stores in Tipton and Kokomo and was actively involved in his community, serving in the U.S. Army, the Tipton County Sheriff’s Merit Board, Sharpsville American Legion, Sharpsville Volunteer Fire Department, Sharpsville Lions Club, Sharpsville United Methodist Church, Tipton Elks, and was a member of the first Tri-Central School Board. He was also a Mason and a Shriner.
Max and Jane enjoyed spending winters in Yuma, Arizona, and were blessed to see five living generations of their family. He is survived by his children Gae Matchette (Gene) and Monty Henderson (Kandi); grandchildren Caleb Matchette (Heather), Caylee Ballard (Jason), Austin Henderson (Alandra), Alexandra Al ag (Clinton); great-grandchildren Shyla Conwell (Dylan), Camden Matchette, Noah Ballard, Beckett Ballard, Crew Ballard, Turner Henderson, and Wells Henderson; great-great-grandchild Deacon Conwell; siblings Virginia Chambers and Fred Henderson; sisters- in-law Helen Henderson and Julia Jane Faulkner; in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jane, brother Tom Henderson, sisters-in-law Mary Louise Hawkins and Margaret “Peg” Hawkins, and brother-in-law Wendell Chambers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton, with funeral services on Wednesday, November 19, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home followed by burial at Sharpsville Cemetery. Nancy A. Larimore
Nancy A. Larimore, 85, of Kokomo, passed away on November 11, 2025. She was born on April 20, 1940, in Cass County, Indiana, to Laurel Meredith Larimore and Mary Alice (Kleckner) Larimore.
Nancy was employed with Berkshire Life Insurance Company, where she worked as an Administrative Manager until her retirement in 1999.
A woman of faith, Nancy was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she found fellowship throughout the years. Nancy’s life was rich in the love of family. She treasured time spent with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is survived by her sister Ruth Ann Domke of Kokomo, Indiana; her brother Larry “Buck” (Paula) Larimore of Logansport, Indiana; two godsons Damian Green and Christopher Kay; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers John Kleckner Larimore, Harold Max Larimore, Terry Wayne Larimore, and Laurel Meredith Larimore Jr.; and other beloved family members.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, in Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Candice Hinkle officiating. A private burial will take place in Hopewell Cemetery at Deer Creek.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church.
Nancy will be remembered for her faith and the love she quietly shared with those closest to her.
