Linda Lou Norwich
Linda Lou Norwich, born on February 11, 1941, in Elwood, Indiana, to Richard and Roxie Nash, departed her loving family on December 7, 2025, at the age of 84 in Kokomo, Indiana.
She attended and graduated from Swayzee High School in 1959 and worked as HFA Executive Director until she retired at the age of 70.
Linda really liked listening to music and dancing around her kitchen. She greatly enjoyed traveling, going to horse races, the beach, and the East Coast. She was an active member of the Elks of Kokomo. She was an avid IU fan and loved Bobby Knight.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Roxie; husband John Norwich; long-time friend and ex-husband Richard Johnson; as well as a brother and three sisters.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children Richard “Marty” (Melody) Johnson, Amy Johnson (Todd Maiseroulle), and Angie Gabbard; stepson Bill Crowe; twin sister Connie Ritchey; grandchildren Jacob Johnson, Zachary Crowe, Samantha Wray, Roxie Wray, Jesse Johnson, and Adrienne Larkin; as well as many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center, located at 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, IN 46902, on December 11, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., funeral service at 1:00 p.m. The committal service will take place at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902, immediately following her funeral service.
Evelyn M. Ebey
Evelyn M. Ebey was gathered into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ to walk the heavenly street of gold on December 9, 2025. Born July 17, 1944, in Kokomo, IN, to Lewis Ren and Bessie C. (Rockey) Kendall, the youngest of their four children. She grew up on farms in Carroll and Clinton counties, and the lifestyle of hard work gave her a never give up attitude.
She was a 1962 graduate of Clinton Central High School. She then worked at Mallory Controls in Frankfort, and this is how she would meet her future husband. A coworker, Don Durham, told her he knew just the gentleman and insisted she meet his brother-in-law Cecil. Evelyn and Cecil were married at West Point Christian Church on July 12, 1970. Their dedication to each other and faith in God was lived daily as an example to their family through trials and adventure. She was a committed caregiver to Cecil during his multiple health struggles.
They operated a family business together and traveled a great deal. One of their favorite trips was to Hawaii. There were also a lot of adventurous road trips in their RV when the girls were young, and she completed travel to all 50 states with the final big trip to Alaska in 2019. She retired from General Motors/Delphi in 2006 after 25 years of service. She was a devoted grandma, attending and supporting all of her grandchildren’s activities, whether it was a freezing marching band competition or hot summer ballgame. Evelyn was a member of and attended Galveston First Baptist Church for more than 45 years.
Evelyn is survived by one sister Donna (Gerald) Rice. She is also survived by daughters Anita Snyder and Gayle (Michael) McDowell; three grandchildren Jared Rothe, Abbigail (Corry) Eikenberry, and Emily McDowell; two precious great-grandsons Cooper and Owen Eikenberry; nephew Mark Rice (Ellen Phillips); niece Christine (John) Mills; and extended family. The joy brought by visits from Cooper and Owen was a tremendous blessing during her nearly four-year battle with pancreatic cancer, and they will miss their grandma immensely. She was preceded in death by her parents and eldest brother. She was also preceded in death by her husband after 40 years together on June 14, 2009.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025, with visitation from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Galveston First Baptist Church, 307 S. Sycamore St., Galveston, Indiana. Burial to follow at Galveston Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Galveston First Baptist Church for benefit of JOY Group.

Steven “Stevie” James Higley
Steven “Stevie” James Higley, 37 years old, of Greentown, passed away 1:49 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. He was born in Kokomo, IN, on December 1, 1988, the son of Stephen J. and Carol L. (Smith) Higley. Steven had been married to the love of his life and best friend Kourtney Cox.
Steven attended Eastern High School. He formerly worked at Hainlen Construction and DSE Construction as a laborer and carpenter. He found joy in being the best uncle to his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Steven had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody in need. He took the best care of his mom. He simply loved life, people, and his family. His favorite hobbies were shooting guns, fishing, and playing with his dogs. He was a member of the Greentown American Legion SAL. He liked watching football and especially cheering for the Indianapolis Colts. Steven will be remembered for being ornery and having the best sense of humor.
He is survived by his mom Carol Higley; bonus mom Marie Jewell; sister Trisha (Chuck) Whitaker; brother Jeff (Allison) Harmon; bonus sister Jessy (Owen) Munson; nieces and nephews Trinity (Shayla) Vautaw, Jessica Vautaw, Trevor (Maddie) Vautaw, Jacob (Liz) Vautaw, Julian Harmon, Makala Devinney, Nathaniel Roberts, Lorene (Gage) Ballard, Kaylan Whitaker, and Kelseigh Whitaker; great-nieces and great-nephews Iian Vautaw, Tianna Vautaw, Odin Devinney, Minerva Roberts, Harper Bates, and Oakland Turley; fur babies Drogo and Bleu, Ozzy and Zena, Buddy, Smokey, and Rusty; special love Kourtney Cox; and too many special friends to list by name.
He is preceded in death by his father Stephen J. Higley; grandparents Forest and Doretha Higley, William and Mary Lou Singer Krajewski, and Max and Judy Smith.

Gilbert Thomas “Tom” Harper
Gilbert Thomas “Tom” Harper, 94 years old, of Greentown, passed away Monday December 8, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. Tom was the youngest son of Howard and Grace (Ball) Harper. He was born December 1, 1931, in Jackson Township, Howard County, Indiana. On January 13, 1951, he married Shirley J. (Campbell) Harper, and she preceded him in death on August 6, 2020.
Tom graduated from Jackson Township High School in 1949. He retired from Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo in 1989. He was a member of Sycamore Friends Church in Greentown where he served on several church committees. After retirement, he served on several mission trips with CSI.
Tom is survived by his children Michael (Viola) Harper of Nappanee, Indiana, Patricia Jeffers of Greentown, and Steven (Carolyn) Harper of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren Sarah (Timothy) Heatwole, Joshua (Bethanna) Harper, Brandon (Meredith) Jeffers, Andrew (Alex) Harper, and Peter (Amanda) Harper; granddaughter-in-law Rachel Harper; along with 10 great-grandchildren.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, six sisters and five brothers, daughter-in-law Susan Harper, and grandson Seth Harper.

Belinda “Mim” Gail (Skipper) Kaiser
Belinda “Mim” Gail (Skipper) Kaiser, 70 years old, of Kokomo, passed away 4:42 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Brickyard Healthcare in Kokomo. She was born in Miami-Dade County, Florida, on March 3, 1955, the daughter of William and Virginia (Spencer) Skipper. On August 10, 2001, she married Louis “Sonny” Kaiser in Peru, IN, and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2023.
Belinda found joy in making other people smile. A couple of her favorite hobbies were coloring, bird watching, and baby-sitting family members. She adored her pet chihuahua named Socks and cherished the time they spent together.
She is survived by her children Jeremiah (Billie) Spencer, David Spencer Jr., and Jeffrey McCoy; grandchildren Brandt Gamble, Braelyn Gamble, and Amaya Spencer; siblings Larry (Sandy) Skipper, Janet Packard, Patsy Estes, Chip (Beth) Skipper, and Susan (Della) McCoy; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; several stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren; and canine companion Socks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Louis “Sonny” Kaiser; brother-in-law, Jim Packard; and the father of her children David Spencer Sr.

Carolyn Faye Denney
Carolyn Faye Denney, 84, of North Manchester, Indiana, died at 12:35 p.m., Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. She was born on February 18, 1941, in Wabash, Indiana, to Melvin H. and Ida Arlene (Row) Manning.
Carolyn was a 1959 graduate of Noble High School. She married David Paul Denney at the Richvalley United Methodist Church on February 19, 1960. Carolyn worked as the accountant for Wabash Metals for 12 years, and also worked for Gough Construction in Crown Point, Indiana as well as Precision Controls in Griffith, Indiana. Carolyn was a former member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, the Richvalley United Methodist Church, Wabash First United Methodist Church and the Lowell Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Lowell, Indiana Tri-Kappa. She was a longtime organist and pianist at several churches and spent many Saturday afternoon and evenings playing for weddings. Music was her passion, and Carolyn also shared her love of music by supporting high school musicals and teaching others to play the piano. She instilled this in her grandchildren, and loved accompanying them in different performances and contests. She loved spending time with her children and grandkids, as well as her husband David.
She is survived by her husband David Paul Denney of North Manchester; four children Darlene (Ronald) Miller of Tallahassee, Florida, Denise Denney of Wabash, Debra (DeVon) Shepherd of Lagro, Indiana, and David (Lori) Denney of Wabash; six grandchildren Joshua (Maggie Wells) Miller of Tallhassee, Florida, Dr. Adam (Alaina) Miller of Tampa, Florida, Douglas (Amber) Shepherd of Brighton, Michigan, Delaney (Alex Pearson) Shepherd of Lagro, Indiana, Hope Denney of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Grace Denney of Wabash, Indiana; two great-grandchildren Samuel Wayne Shepherd and Isabelle Marie Shepherd, both of Brighton, Michigan; and her four siblings Marilyn Crousore of Kokomo, Indiana, Bonita (Jerry) Kirtlan and Dennis (Peggy) Manning, both of Wabash, Indiana, and Marcia (Nick) Weaver of North Manchester, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Judith Ann “Judy” Miller
Judith Ann “Judy” Miller, 78, Kokomo, passed away peacefully at 12:07 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Aperion Care in Kokomo. She was born on November 23, 1947, in Tucson, Arizona, the daughter of the late Lloyd Hopkins Shaver and Lucille (Dishon) Collins. Judy was raised and loved by her mother and stepfather Adrian Collins, whom she loved dearly. She married James “Jim” Miller, who preceded her in death on January 9, 2010.
Judy dedicated 17 years of her career to working in security for General Motors in Kokomo. She also was a foreman at Continental Steel, delivered newspapers for the Kokomo Tribune, and found deep fulfillment during the years she spent at home caring for her household and raising her children. Her work ethic and commitment to both her professional responsibilities and her family were evident throughout her life.
A woman of many talents and interests, Judy was known for being crafty—she loved to sew and crochet with care and precision. In her younger years she collected dolls with enthusiasm. Her baking and cooking were cherished by those around her; she had a special touch in the kitchen that brought comfort to many. She also enjoyed drawing pictures of her children, a reflection of how deeply she treasured them.
Those who knew Judy will remember her fierce loyalty to family. She possessed a sharp wit and a great sense of humor that could brighten any room. Her warmth and laughter left lasting impressions on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Regina Vorhees, Mark Vorhees, Ronald “Bud” (Patty) Vorhees, and Paul (Erina) Miller; her grandchildren Justin Vorhees, Jake Conley, Kristopher (Jillianne) DeWitt, Audrey Vorhees, Daulton Conley, Braden Vorhees, Haven Vorhees, Camryn Vorhees, Eileen Miller, and Stevie Vorhees; and great-grandchildren Max Vorhees, Layne Vorhees, Rhythm Vorhees, Kallie DeWitt, Ally Cover, Presley Cover, Ian Cover, and Chloe Conley; her sister Delores Layne; and brother-in-law Richard Zeller, along with several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her father Lloyd Shaver; mother and stepfather Lucille and Adrian Collins; husband James “Jim” Miller; and siblings Clyde Shaver, Howard Shaver, Lillian Zeller, and Mary Henry.

Ricky E. Hopkins
Ricky E. Hopkins was born in Fisher, Arkansas, May 18, 1953, to Jerry and Murline Hopkins (Squire). He passed away December 5, 2025, after a brief illness.
Left to remember him are his daughter Lacy Hopkins, two sons Sam Hopkins and Jeremy Hopkins, granddaughter Cicily Hopkins, grandson Barrett Hopkins, siblings Ed, Jerry, Sandy, Alvin, Janice, and Patricia, fiancée Tina Kramer, many nieces and nephews, as well as close friends Mary, Margaret, John and Mike Espinosa. He loved Mary Jean as a daughter.
Rick had a great personality, and he lived his life on his terms. He was always willing to help others.
Rick is preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother Gary.

Jerry Lee Robertson
Jerry Lee Robertson, 87, Kokomo, passed away at 11:01 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. He was born on May 29, 1938, the son of the late Loren and Francis (Carver) Robertson. On August 26, 1961, he married Jane Hannah, and she survives.
Jerry graduated from Galveston High School in 1957. He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1959-1964. He worked for General Motors and retired after 33 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, and wintering in Florida. Above all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and bragged about each of them often.
Along with his wife Jane Robertson, Jerry is survived by his children Mike (Carol) Robertson, Brad (Libby) Robertson, Susan (Don) Schneider, and Steven (Dawn) Robertson; grandchildren Megan (Wes) McCorkle, Matthew Robertson, Craig (Brandi) Lusk, Phillip (Jasmine) Robertson, David (Kelsey) Robertson, Amanda Weaver, Jacob (Alisha) Robertson, Lauren (Evan) Miller, Kristen Schneider, Evan (Camden Reed) Schneider, Ethan Schneider, Brooke (David) Core, Breanne (Travis) Miller, and Brandon Robertson; step-grandchildren Nate (Hailey) Simpson, Greg (Sybil) Simpson, and Michelle Simpson; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Larry (Jan) Robertson; and father- and mother-in-law George and Catherine Hannah.
In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Friends and family will gather at a later date for a celebration of life.
