Dennis was preceded in death by his loving parents Milton and Evelyn Kelshaw, his sister Linda Fosnight, and his brothers Butch Kelshaw, Donald “Kelly” Kelshaw, and Glenn Kelshaw. His memory will be treasured and kept alive by his beloved children: Katherine (Jamie) Kelshaw, Denise (Joyce) Stevens, Dennis (Jessica) Kelshaw Jr., Brandon (Francis) Felger, Kassidy “Butch” (Megan) Tincher, and Kasandra (Charlie) Dial. His sister Pat Little, brother Larry Kelshaw, and sister-in-law Linda Kelshaw will miss his laughter and sage advice. Dennis’ legacy will continue through his adoring grandchildren: JoAnn “Jo,” Charlie, Ember, Willow, Jacob, Caleb, Haley, Alex, Matt, Kiana, Dylan, Bea, and Ada, along with his great-grandchildren Silas, Jane, Lucy, Xander, and Roman. The family will hold dear the memory of his great-grandchild Lilliana, who predeceased him.

Dennis was a man of many talents and a true jack of all trades and a master of none as he would always say. Those who knew him would disagree, as he approached every task with a can-do attitude and an infectious enthusiasm. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his involvement with his family, where he was always ready to lend a hand or share his knowledge.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Dennis found solace and joy in fishing and camping, often imparting his love for nature to his family and friends. He was always at and never missed family reunions, where his selfless nature ensured that everyone felt welcomed and cherished. Dennis also had a love for long car rides, where getting lost was part of the adventure and a source of many cherished stories. His humorous escapades at casinos and his love for watching the boats on the Ohio River were among the simple pleasures he enjoyed most.

Known for his quick wit and comebacks, Dennis had the uncanny ability to light up any room with his humor. Yet, it was his wisdom, often shared during quiet moments, that left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to have known him. Dennis’ selflessness was the golden thread that ran through the tapestry of his life, touching all who had the privilege of his company.

As we say see you later to Dennis R. Kelshaw, we remember a life lived with purpose and joy, a life that exemplified the meaning of being selfless, funny, and wise. His was a journey marked by the love of his family, the respect of his peers, and the countless lives he touched with his kind heart and spirited nature. Dennis’ legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the stars he so loved to gaze upon during his outdoor escapades continue to shine brightly in the night sky. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Ken Duane Lindzy

Ken Duane Lindzy, a man who made every room brighter with his humor and every meal tastier with his grilling skills, has played his final inning in the game of life. Born on September 27, 1961, in the humble town of Wabash, Indiana, Ken’s laughter-filled journey came to a peaceful end on February 27, 2026, in Peru, Indiana. He was a man who could find the funny side of everything, and his absence will leave a void that could only be filled with the echoes of the joy he spread.

Ken was the cherished son of Lou and Harvey Lindzy, both of whom predeceased him, passing on the legacy of their humor and love. Ken’s loving wife Becky was his partner in crime for a remarkable 43 years. Together, they raised a trio of children who inherited their dad’s wit and passion for life: Brytton Anderson (married to Erick), Victoria Lewis (Jimmy’s partner in laughs), and Shane Lindzy, who likely got his fair share of dad jokes growing up.

Ken’s siblings—Tara Christian, Lyndia Lindzy, and Andy Lindzy—knew him as the life of the family gatherings, always ready with a quip and a smile. His nieces and nephews Kaila Christian, Jessica Christian, Zack Lindzy, Joey Hegg, and Johnny Christian (engaged to Morgan), were as dear to him as his own kids, and he was the cool uncle who could always make them laugh. Ken’s great-nieces Marley and Myla Christian had the best seats in the house for Uncle Ken’s comedy shows.

A proud graduate of Northfield High School’s class of 1980, Ken was as spirited in the classroom as he was on the sports field. His career path led him to Sherwin Williams Paints for 23 years, where he was known for mixing humor with every color. After hanging up his paintbrush, Ken spent a decade with Walmart, brightening the days of customers and coworkers alike.

Ken’s Christian faith was as strong as his love for the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Bears, which, in sports terms, is saying something. His passion for sports was only rivaled by his love for The Beatles. His children knew well the sounds of “Hey Jude” sizzling on the grill alongside the steaks.

Ken’s high school football and baseball days were the stuff of local legend, and those who knew him never tired of his tales from the field—each retelling funnier than the last. He was a man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, like the perfect harmony of a Beatles tune or the refreshing zest of an ice-cold beer.

To describe Ken as funny, loving, and passionate is like saying The Beatles were just a band. He was the personification of joy, leaving a legacy of laughter that will resonate through the lives of all who were lucky enough to know him. So, here’s to Ken—husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend—whose life was a masterclass in finding the humor in every moment. May the sound of his laughter be a comforting reminder that love, like a good joke, is eternal.
