Reginald Lee White
Reginald Lee White, 55, was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Community Howard Hospital, in Kokomo, IN, surrounded by love, following a sudden, yet aggressive, illness.
Reggie was born June 16, 1970, to the late Tommy James Sr. and Velma Lee White-Davis.
Reggie graduated Marion High School 1989. He always talked about being a Marion Giant and “Purple Rain” - if you knew him, I’m sure you read that in his voice. As an adult learner, he went on to graduate from Ivy Tech with an Associate’s in medical billing and coding. He’s worked many jobs, always kept busy, and made it his mission to help everyone. Even in all of that, his greatest accomplishment in life was being a father and a grandfather.
Reggie leaves to rejoice in his homegoing his wife of 29 years LaTasha C. White; three adult children Kiara L. White, Zharquan L. White (Jessica), and Omariyan L. White; four grandchildren Kamari, Jace, Karsyn, and Zariyah, and one bonus grandson Zy’Aire, all of Kokomo.
He is survived by his sisters Roxanne McLemore of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jennifer (Sammy) Young of Osceola, AR, Lorraine Dickerson, Rosalie James, Estelle James, and Jewel James, all of Salisbury, MD, Tammy Hampton of St. Louis, MO, Priscilla James of DE, and Shereana Morgan (Brian) of Kokomo, IN.
He is also survived by his brothers Sean Davis (Abbie) of Shelbyville, IN, Tommy James Jr. (Clarissa) of Osceola, AR, Rodney Smith of Springfield, IL, Leon Dozer of Salisbury, MO, Reginald James, and James Mitchell both of DE., and Steve Floyd (Kristi) of Kokomo, IN; and his beloved stepmother Ms. Johnnie Mae James.
Reggie loved his family, that is for sure. The whole host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and special friends all carried a beautiful place in his heart. He loved his parents-in-law beyond words. They were mom and pops to him, never in-laws (Bryon and Alicia Mills). Family gatherings of any kind anywhere were everything. Whether he was feeling well enough to be there or not, he was there if at all possible.
He was usually the trivia champ at all family gatherings and did not like to lose. He would always challenge you if you got one up on him. He was the family barber since a teenager, trained by his grandfather Mr. Percy at his barber shop in the early ‘80s. He loved fishing, singing, going to church, and was always down to have a good time. At the end of a long day, as they all were, it was his mission to make Tasha laugh. He was a cut-up and a clown. Heaven gained the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend we could all ask for.
The extended family of New Spiritual Life Christian Church, the extended family of Power P Bounce and Co., and the extended family of Fresh Start Barber School were all very special to him. You knew because he showed up to serve without question, in any space he was in.
Reggie ran a strong race with no complaints; usually smiles. He was welcomed at the finish line by his mother and stepfather Velma and Johnson Davis, his father Tommy James, his twin sister Angela D. White, his grandparents Percy Sr. & Lucille White, four aunts Maxcine, Inez, Louise, Patricia; three uncles Walter, Roosevelt, and Percy Jr., and niece Raven.
Visitation for Reggie will be Friday, March 13, 2026, at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., the time of the funeral service. Reggie will be laid to rest immediately following the funeral at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo.

In 2007, they moved to Port Charlotte, Florida, where she enjoyed spending time at the beaches and soaking up the warm sunshine.
Dianna found happiness in the outdoors and simple pleasures in life, especially a good Reese’s cup. She loved strolling the beach at sunset while searching for shark teeth. At home, she took great pride in her yard, spending time planting flowers and keeping her landscaping looking its best. She also cherished time on the water, where she could relax on a boat and enjoy catching fish. Her grandchildren were one of her greatest joys, and she always treated her children’s friends like they were part of the family. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
