Thomas J. LaFollette

The journey started September 21, 1942, born in his grandparents’ home in Crawfordsville, Indiana, to Marian Elizabeth Appel and Morris J. Lafollette (who he would not see until he was three years old, for his dad was with General Patton and the Battle of the Bulge until 1945), at which time they moved to Kokomo, Indiana. He attended grade school at Washington and Palmer schools and junior high at Central, then on to Kokomo High School.

Tom swam for coach Mal Cofield at the YMCA and was one of the first swimming instructors for Kokomo High School, graduating in the class of 1961

He met Barbara Jean Eikenberry in their sophomore year, and they went together three years before being married in 1961. They had three children: Karina Diane (Terry); Thomas J Jr. (Buddy), who we lost in 2020; and Christopher Lee (Tanya); seven grandchildren Michelle Pauline, Shelby Diane Lopez (Duva), Michael Morris, Rebecca Anne Puetzer (Connor), Nicholas Alexander, Elizabeth Claire, and Thomas Robert; and three great-grandchildren (Lopez) Elijah Anthony, Giovanni J., and Jazelin Arely.

Tom worked at Mid-States Steel and Wire, where he galvanized wire in Crawfordsville Indiana, Mohr Construction Co. as a laborer in Kokomo, Indiana, and Delco Electronics in Kokomo, Indiana, for 33 years, working as a diecast operator, die-and-mold setter, radio tuner repairman, group leader over sub assembly tuners, and Cadillac relays for the Wonder Bar radio. He was a supervisor in the sub assembly operation, radio final assembly, and supervisor and production control/material control and scheduled speakers for General Motors, then was liaison between engineering and purchasing on new engine and radio controls.

Tom and Barb loved the old classic cars. They had a 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible, which they loved to cruise in and take to car shows and parades. It won a lot of trophies.

After retiring in 1997. he was asked to return to work and help start up a new plant in Szomebethay, Hungary (radios and engine controls) made for Opel, Volkswagen, and Fiat. They lived in Grosspetersdorf, Austria, for a year, still in touch with the folks he worked with; wonderful friends.

In Tom’s and Barb‘s life together they have visited 48 states, Mexico, and Canada, also traveled to Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Romania, Luxembourg, Holland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Switzerland, the islands of St. Thomas, St. Martin, Aruba, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, Colombia, Panama, and Costa Rica. They loved taking cruises, especially the one through the Panama Canal. They also got to swim with the stingrays and the dolphins.

After moving to Lake Bruce, they remodeled their cottage, where the grandkids loved fishing and swimming. They also had a small farm where they raised chickens, ducks, and geese.

Tom was on the advisory board of the Fulton County Horse & Pony Club in Rochester, Indiana. He and Barb fixed breakfast for several years for the kids during 4H week and fun days. They also sponsored two trophies every year.

Tom was a proud member of the Republican Party, working on the election board as judge and inspector. He was also on the Fulton County planning commission and the board of zoning appeals.

He was a lifetime member of the Eagles, Moose, Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite, VFW men’s auxiliary, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Ibn Saud Grotto Kokomo and Logansport Shrine clubs, Izaak Walton League, NRA, and Eastern Star.

Tom, as captain, always helped out on the Elks Cancer Drive.

Tom and Barb, along with Tom and Shirley Miller, family, and friends started the Frank Martino and Frank Pickens memorial breakfast benefiting the We Care organization in 2005 in Kokomo, Indiana.

HE LOVED THIS GREAT NATION, “THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.”

Angela Marie Fenoglio

Angela Marie Fenoglio, 54, of Westfield, died Friday, June 12, 2026. She was born in Kokomo on August 3, 1971, to Marshall “Al” and Kathy Sue (Teter) Brown.

Angela was a strong worker, staying focused on her tasks as she worked with government contracts and financial details from her home office. She was an avid reader, enjoying multiple books each month, staying up to date with the most recent novels.

Her friendships were important to Angela. She was always willing to attend movies at a moment’s notice. Her best friend was her sister Beth, with whom she had a strong bond. Angela’s nephew Nate received a lot of attention, and he loved the homemade “goodies” from her. She definitely enjoyed spoiling him as he grew up. She was a firm believer in God and her faith. Angela loved her dog Dudley like family and had him going to doggy daycare to be with his friends!

She is survived by her sister Beth Brown of Frankfort and her nephew Nathaniel McGrath of Frankfort. Her parents and a sister, Shelly Brown, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 22, at 7:00 p.m. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home. Pastor Toph Elkins will preside. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 5:00 p.m. Monday until service time. Burial at Sharpsville Cemetery will occur at a later date.

Jeffrey Robert Stine

Jeffrey Robert Stine, 83, was welcomed home to his Lord and Savior early in the morning of June 15, 2026. He passed peacefully in his sleep.

A lifelong resident of Kokomo, Indiana, Jeff graduated from Kokomo High School and proudly served in the National Guard. He dedicated 32 years of service to Chrysler Kokomo Transmission Plant before enjoying retirement, during which he worked at the Button car dealership and never met a stranger.

Jeff was devoted to his wife and soulmate Marla. Together, they loved opening their home to family and friends, going for long drives, and spending their winters in Florida. Jeff enjoyed golfing, fishing, and bowling. Perhaps most of all, Jeff relished beating everyone at his favorite card game, Wizard, wearing the sly grin that he was known so well for.

A faithful follower of Christ, Jeff attended both Bible Baptist and Abundant Life churches and celebrated the 59th anniversary of his salvation on Easter Sunday earlier this year. He will be remembered for living a life unashamed of his faith and convictions, always eager to share the hope he found in Jesus. Before his passing, Jeff shared these words: “If I have learned anything in my life, it is this: If we want to spend eternity with our Creator, we must be found in Him before we leave this life.”

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Gloria and Robert Stine; his brother Gregory Stine; and his son Benjamin Stine.

He is survived by his beloved wife Marla Stine; his son John (Traci) Stine; stepchildren Sean, Chad, Nathan (Sandy), and Jama (Lindsay) Bradfield; and several grandchildren: Kylie, Caden, Solomon (Lauren), and Simon Stine, Christopher and Maleah (Jarek) Perry, and Ava, Tucker, Aubrey, Gabriel, and Jonathon Bradfield.

While his family grieves his absence, they rejoice knowing he is now in the presence of the Lord, and they will see him again one day.

A funeral service celebrating Jeff’s life will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, at the Abundant Life Church, 865 400 S, Kokomo, IN 46902, in the Life Center. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kokomo Rescue Mission, kokomorescuemission.org. Messages of condolences may be made at www.shirleyandstout.com.

Diana Lynn Cook

Diana Lynn Cook, 65, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on June 10, 2026. She was born on May 25, 1961, in Kokomo, Indiana, to the late Isaac Cook and Doris (Hafley) Cook.

Diana worked at Kokomo Grain for a short time but still talked about how much she loved it there years later. In all she did, she carried an adventurous spirit. Her interests reflected a love of expression and celebration: singing, dancing, music, and the sharing of recipes that brought people together. Diana’s legacy also includes a well-known, unmistakable toughness. By reputation, there was not a man in town who could drink her under the table.

She is survived by her son Lucas Cook (Heather); nieces and nephews Brandi Kennedy, Crystal Godbey, Iva Turner, Tina Godbey Kidd, Dan Godbey, Katie Groves, Justin Harrison, and Miles Cook, as well as many others; siblings Jeff Cook and Joyce Morton; and great-nephew Dylan Cook.

In addition to her parents, Diana is preceded in death by four siblings and the love of her life Cindy Gordon.

Family will have a private service for Diana at a later date.
