Patricia Lou Cottrell

Patricia Lou Cottrell, 98, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on July 10, 2026. Born October 19, 1927, in Kokomo, Indiana, Patricia was the daughter of Denzel Hollingsworth and Violet (Eades) Phillips, and she remained deeply rooted in the community that shaped her life. A graduate of Kokomo High School, she carried forward a steady devotion to home, family, and faith throughout her years.

Patricia retired as an insurance agent from Kiley Insurance, a role that reflected her reliability and the quiet diligence with which she approached her responsibilities. In every season of life, she was a beloved presence; one whose faithfulness could be counted on, and whose care for others was expressed in the everyday ways that matter most.

Patricia married John J. Cottrell, and together they welcomed three children. Family was the most important thing in her life, and she gave herself to it with constancy and love, creating a home and a legacy marked by enduring devotion. She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, her son David E. Cottrell, and her stepbrothers Philip Phillips and William Phillips.

A faithful woman, Patricia found joy and purpose in her church life, singing in the church choir and playing hand bells in the bell choir. Her creative spirit also found expression in painting, and she treasured quiet moments spent reading, as well as the patient satisfaction of completing jigsaw puzzles; simple pleasures that reflected a thoughtful, attentive heart.

Patricia was also a member of the Kiwanis, valuing connection and community, and offering her presence in ways that strengthened the ties around her.

She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline S. Woide; her son Dennis R. Cottrell; her grandsons Matthew W. Cottrell (Casie), Andrew Cottrell-D’Espisito (Lou), and Bartholomew Cottrell (Tabitha); her sisters Sonja Hanawalt, Joyce Timbler, and Judy Price; as well as 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, on July 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. Patricia will be entombed with her husband John immediately following her service in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.

Robert “Bobby” Terrance Wilson

Robert “Bobby” Terrance Wilson, 80 years old, passed away 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Willows of Richmond in Richmond, IN. He was born in Kokomo, IN, on May 1, 1946, the son of the late Robert and Mary Norvene (Coverdale) Wilson.

Bobby formerly worked at Yogi’s and Stellite in Kokomo. He was a very kind person who liked to find ways to help other people. He was ornery and had the best sense of humor. Bobby was great at socializing with visitors. His favorite hobbies were playing BINGO, fishing, and watching Country/Western TV shows. Bobby had quite the collection of model cars and native Indian arrowheads.

He is survived by his siblings Sheila (Larry) Evans, Barry Wilson (Cathy Jarvis), Diane (Larry) Moore, and Michelle Imlay; seven nieces, two nephews, seven great-nieces, eight great-nephews, and the Smith family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Timothy Wilson and Eric Wilson; sister-in-law Rhonda Wilson; and brother-in-law Mark Imlay.

Donna Louise Monroe

Donna Louise Monroe, 49, Sharpsville, passed away at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, at I.U. Health–North, Carmel. She was born in Tipton on September 15, 1976, the daughter of Donald and Margaret (Carson) Reynolds. On August 14, 2004, she married Jeff Monroe, and he survives.

Donna worked for Park 100 Foods as a D & R Technician. She enjoyed staying active, whether it was camping, crocheting, or sewing. She always kept busy. She was artistic. She loved painting and drawing.

Along with her husband Jeff, Donna is survived by her children Christian O’Donnell, Levi Monroe, and Alexis Monroe; father Donald Reynolds; father-in-law Gary Monroe; siblings David Hartsock, Lori Rickabaugh, and Stella Harrison; and many cousins and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Reynolds and mother-in-law Diana Monore.

Sister Immaculata Holtman of St. Gabriel

Sister Immaculata Holtman of St. Gabriel completed her earthly pilgrimage at 8:00 p.m. on July 11, 2026. During her final journey of over a year with cancer, Sister continued her strong, faithful witness of how to live each day to the full in the rhythm of prayer, community life, and doing the next simple task. This was also how she met death, surrounded by her Poor Clare sisters praying with and for her as she became peace and gently, almost imperceptibly, surrendered her final breath to God who created her. It was Sister Immaculata’s smile during this challenging final season of life that was a gift to those caring for her following surgery and to the hospice nurses and caregivers, as well as to her sisters in the monastery. Her smile was her quiet Amen, her grateful “Yes” to whatever followed.

Jean Elizabeth Holtman was born in Madison, Wisconsin, on January 6, 1945, the daughter of Dr. David Holtman and Elizabeth Wanek.

She attended Washington High School in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. She graduated with a B.A. from Averno College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and later received a B.M. in Education from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

She entered the Poor Clare Monastery in Kokomo on October 23, 1978. At her Investiture as a novice on February 2, 1980, she received the name Sister Immaculata of St. Gabriel. She professed her Simple Vows on October 4, 1981, and Solemn Vows on October 1, 1984. She celebrated her Silver Jubilee as a Bride of Christ in 2006.

Sister generously served in various charges through the years, including organist, cook, archivist, librarian, laundress, and portress. She loved tending her rose and flower garden.

Sister is survived by her brother John Holtman, nephew Matt (Abby) Holtman, and niece Katie (Steve) Bahm, as well as a grandnephew Porter and two grandnieces Audrey and Jacquelyn.

We wish to express our gratitude to all those who gifted Sister Immaculata with their prayers, notes, services, and kindnesses during her illness.

The public is welcome to come for viewing on Thursday, July 16, at the monastery chapel from 6:00-7:30 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Poor Clare Monastery at 10:00 a.m., with Bishop Timothy L. Doherty officiating.

Sister Immaculata will be buried in the cemetery on the Maria Regina Mater Monastery grounds within the enclosure which she so dearly loved.

Larry Albert Myer

Larry Albert Myer, 88, Greentown, passed away at IU Health Tipton Hospital at 10:56 a.m. on Monday July 13, 2026. He was born August 23, 1937, in Marion, the son of the late Albert and Lucile (Kirkpatrick) Myer. On July 24, 1966, in Bluffton he married Beth Schlagenhauf at Six-Mile United Church of Christ. They shared 59 years of marriage together.

Larry was a 1955 graduate of Sweetser High School. He was proud to have served four years in the United States Navy as a radio repairman in the Security Group. Larry retired from Chrysler Corp. on November 30, 2002, after 38½ years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 685.

Having grown up on a farm, he enjoyed everything outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He was a member and attended Jerome Christian Church regularly. He was an active member of the Sons of The Union Veterans of the Civil War and researched all he could about the Civil War in which his great-grandfather served.

Along with his wife Beth Myer, Larry is survived by his daughters Lori (Eric) Myer-Austin of Holland, MI, and Karyn Myer of Muncie; grandson Lucas Hulka of Chippewa Falls, WI; granddaughter Michelle Oberlin of Holland, MI; brother Gene Myer of Van Buren, IN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Donna Pelz; sister-in-law Dianne Myer; and brothers-in-law Paul Harris and Ray Pelz.

A funeral service celebrating Larry’s life will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Dick Mosier officiating. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, in Six-Mile Cemetery in Bluffton, with military honors provided by the United States Navy and the Bluffton American Legion Post 111. Linda Gail Fritz

Linda Gail Fritz, 77, was born in Portland, Tennessee, on July 13, 1949, to Paul & Alta (Bandy) Dunning. She passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at home in rural Tipton County, surrounded by her loving family. Gail married Kenny J. Fritz on March 7, 1969, and they celebrated 57 years of marriage. She lived in Kokomo from 1971-83 and in Sheridan from 1983-98.

Gail graduated from Kokomo High School in the Class of 1968. She served as a Deputy Clerk in Hamilton County for 28 years. She enjoyed collecting antiques and tending to her flowers.

She loved to garden and can her vegetables to enjoy all year. She spent many happy hours under shade trees, snapping beans. Gardening and canning were just part of how she cared for her family. She was always very excited to plan family gatherings and had fun games planned and surprises for everyone.

Gail was an excellent croquet player, and this was one game that she would not let anyone else win! She was a great supporter of her children’s activities. Sporting events, extra curriculars, plays, end-of-year concerts and award programs – you could always find Gail in the crowd.

Survivors besides her husband Ken include two children Shannon Mazurek of Burlington and Kent Fritz and wife Stephanie of Kempton; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren Zoe Mazurek (Cameron) and their children Dalton & Levi, Ezra Mazurek; Zane Mazurek, Ryan Burns (Abby) and their children Sawyer and RaeLynn, Tyler Burns and wife Hannah and their son Beckham, and Jagger Busenbarrick.

Gail’s funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, with Steve Brown presiding. Burial will follow in Kempton Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Monday.
