The Carver Community Center held its Youth Holiday Basketball Tournament Dec. 27-29. Sponsored by the Nu Nu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the three-day event saw dozens of kids of all ages compete for a tournament title.

The single-elimination tourney awarded medals to the first- and second-place teams in each division.

The tournament spread over three days, with the K-2 teams competing on Dec. 27. That tournament boiled down to a championship final between the Ball Hoggz and Brown's Beauty.

The 3rd-5th grade tournament was held on Dec. 28, and Hoopers Unleashed prevailed over the Coca-Cola Heat for the championship title.

The middle school and high school tournaments took place on Dec. 29. In the 6th-8th grade division, the Carver Clippers overcame a challenge from the Carver Lady Starz for the tourney title.
