Rebecca Lee Bushong

Rebecca Lee Bushong, age 92, of Waveland, Indiana, flew away to God's celestial shore on Saturday, May 11, 2024. She was born to Gilbert and Bessie (Parrish) Harlan on October 4, 1931, in Summer Shade, Kentucky. She met Donald C. Bushong in 1950, and they married in 1951. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and making people laugh. She had a "unique" sense of humor. She loved her family dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children; Palma Ward, Beverly Norris, Donnie C. (Rosemary) Bushong, and Debra (John) Holt; grandchildren, Veronica, Bridget, Marsha, Tonia, Toby, Catrina, Ann, Samantha, Alex, Brandy, Danille, Robert, Aleshia and Josh; sisters, Annetta Fields and Barbara Carter; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Bessie; husband, Donald; daughter, Wanda; brother, Dale; sister, Dorlis; and grandson, Nick.

There will be a time of visitation for Rebecca on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of service, at 1:00 PM, at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo, IN 46902. Burial will follow the service at Kokomo Memorial Park.



Michael Edward Miller

Michael Edward Miller, known affectionately as Mike to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, at the age of 74 in Kokomo, IN. Born on May 26, 1949, in Russiaville, IN, Mike was a man of integrity, intelligence, and passion, whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him.

Mike graduated from Western High School before proudly serving his country as an E5 Petty Officer Second Class in the United States Navy. His dedication to his nation was matched only by his commitment to his career as an insurance agent, where he was respected by colleagues and clients alike for his expertise and genuine care. Mike furthered his education at the University of Vincennes, where he specialized in Aircraft Mechanics, a field that spoke to his meticulous nature and love for complex systems.

In his personal life, Mike was a loving partner, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his best friend and partner, B.J., his cherished cat Blackie, his devoted daughter, Missy, and his adoring grandson, Lyle. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, who paved the way for the kind-hearted and resilient man he became.

Mike's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He was an avid NASCAR fan, never missing a race, and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams during ballgames. His enthusiasm for sports was contagious, and he loved sharing these moments with his friends and family.

Those who knew Mike would describe him as loving, intelligent, and passionate. He approached life with a warm heart and an open mind, always ready to lend an ear or a helping hand. His laughter was a familiar and comforting sound to those around him, and his wisdom was a guiding light.

As we say goodbye to Michael Edward Miller, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest. His legacy of love, dedication, and joy will continue to live on through the memories he has left behind. Mike's journey through life was marked by the countless hearts he touched and the lives he enriched. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain a beacon of love and strength for his family and friends.
