Wildkats prevail in HOF consolation

The Kokomo Wildkats recovered quickly from their opening-round loss in the IHSAA Hall of Fame Classic tournament on Dec. 30, returning that evening for a consolation match against the Brownsburg Bulldogs. The Kats took the contest, 87-58.




Flory Bidunga, Karson Rogers, and Zion Bellamy led Kokomo as they have for much of the season. Bidunga led Kokomo with 23 points on 9-11 shooting to go with 12 rebounds and a pair of blocks.

Rogers had a nearly perfect evening, pouring in 22 points on 11 of 12 from the field. He added five boards. Bellamy was good for 12 points and six assists.





With the win, the Wildkats improved to 10-3 on the season and next hosts the Logansport Berries (5-5) tonight at Memorial Gymnasium. Varsity tip-off is 7:30 p.m. Watch the game from home by tuning in online with the Fast Play Sports Facebook page or at www.fastplaysports.com.
